It gets morning sun and afternoon shade. Positioned on a ridge, it has both sunrise and sunset views. A rural road passes 50’ away. The natural setting amongst the trees includes tiny wildlife. Curious 6-legged locals will occasionally wander into the bus. My family’s round house is on the same 1.25-acre property. You may hear or see us playing in our fenced backyard when you are at your car or your fire pit, but otherwise we’re mostly invisible to each other. Other things to note No pets. Reviews: I never ask guests to leave a review, but AirBnB’s system will. Leave one or not. Use your own criteria. I’d rather have guests feel unpressured than have a perfect rating. Internet: Pretty fast (>50 Mbps), but can be spotty sometimes. The story: This 1988 Thomas schoolbus was built in High Point, NC and served 25 years in Johnston County, NC. In 2015, my wife-to-be and I purchased it from the State and converted it ourselves, using mostly reclaimed materials. It was our driveable home for the next six years, residing as far as the Florida keys. Eventually our family outgrew it, and now it helps to pay the mortgage on our house. This bus is full of sincerity and heart, and we hope it becomes a part of your own story.
