Located near hiking trails, the original Mast Store, Valle Crucis Park & Grandfather Vineyard. There is a separate guesthouse rental on the property that can also be booked. Both rentals share the driveway/parking. Indoor/outdoor wood fireplace. Both indoor gas fireplaces are off. The space Inside, you’ll find elegance and style, including coffered and vaulted ceilings, textured walls, extensive stone and tile work, exposed beams, three fireplaces, fur rugs, slate floors, and radiant floor heat. The main living room has plenty of seating with gas fireplace. There is dedicated office/reading spaces both upstairs and down, ideal for remote work. The chef’s kitchen offers everything the family cook could want, with a full suite of appliances - including a wine fridge and beverage making area- large kitchen island, and fully equipped for your cooking needs. Two dining areas offer seating, the main dining area and seating off the kitchen. Entertainment options include free WiFi, a sound dock for music, and three streaming-capable TVs. The main bedroom with a king size poster bed is downstairs. The spa-like en suite bathroom offers a walk-in shower with steam-room capacities and a relaxing jetted soaking tub. Upstairs you’ll find the second bedroom with a queen size bed, a full bathroom, and the second reading/office space. Please note the stairs are steep and not ideal for children. There is a laundry room with washer and dryer downstairs. The outdoor space at the Crab Orchard House is as spectacular as the setting, with a shady, stone covered veranda area offering lots of seating with an outdoor, wood-burning fireplace, perfect for chilly evenings with hot cider. Another, adjacent patio holds a table that’s ideal for alfresco meals. Off the kitchen is another quaint covered seating area, perfect for morning coffee.
