Hike down through the property's 20 acres to the waterfront as well as cave below. Visit the mini horses & goats. 4 minute drive to Withrow Springs State Park for nature hikes and less than 30 minutes to Eureka Springs and Fayetteville. Includes a game room with bumper pool, shuffle board, & fooseball. The space Considerations: Please take note that the guest house is situated directly adjacent to the hosts home. My husband and I live in the home year round. The guest house has it's own keypad for your privacy during the stay. About the property: Our property sits 1/4 mile down a well maintained new gravel road off the scenic route 23. Located on the bluffs of the War Eagle Creek as well as Holman Creek, you can enjoy varying views of the water depending on the season. We are nestled amongst local cattle and hay fields and there is lots of nature around from bald eagle spotting, deer, road runners, and even occasional bats in our cave. Although fully surrounded by nature and far from any neighbors, we are less than 7 minutes from downtown Huntsville restaurants and Walmart. The garden patio behind the guest house is available for guest use for relaxing and taking in the nature views. A propane fire table is also available there for chilly nights. There is a small sandy beach by the creek that varies with the water level as well as a large rock beach below the house that is excellent for fishing and even finding arrow heads and fossilized rocks. The is a mowed path below the goat area that takes you down to the creek and cave on the water below the house. Bring your flashlight to explore if you are feeling adventurous! The War Eagle Creek is known for bass fishing as well as floating/kayaking the beautiful rocky bluffs. Kayaks can be rented from nearby outfitters in town. Less than 5 minutes drive north will bring you to Withrow Springs State Park- known for a short hike with excellent views of the War Eagle Creek below. Accommodations: First floor bedroom: -Full sized bed First floor cot: -Roll away twin cot located in the laundry room - can be used in the living room for an additional 5th guest Second floor bedroom: -Queen bed, located in the game room Full bathrooms located on both levels. Game room: -Shuffle board, electric darts, mini fooseball, bumper pool and a card table -keyboard, ukulele, guitar -Multiple board games -Outdoor games include disc golf basket with discs, bocce ball, pop up corn hole, and lawn darts Other things to note: We have two German Shepherds that can bark when they meet new people, so we typically keep them inside during guests stay. We also have an outdoor cat, goats, and mini horses. You can visit the horses and goats, but we do not allow anyone to go in the pens for your safety. Our horses and goats may chomp on small fingers so please keep an eye on children when visiting these areas and keep all fingers outside of the pens. Feel free to roam around the property with the exception of the host's deck and outbuildings to allow for our own privacy. We have many fruit trees as well as a small vineyard, however please ask us before picking any fruit as our small homestead depends on this yearly. *Absolutely NO smoking inside the guest house *No additional guests unless pre-approved *No parties or events *Absolutely no pets allowed *All children MUST be monitored around goats and especially the horses, NO entering livestock pens. Guest access Please refrain from using the hosts deck to allow for our privacy. You are welcome to enjoy the garden patio and use of the fire table. No guests allowed in the goat/horse pens. Other things to note Additional guests may be considered however please contact us prior to booking. All children must be monitored around the goats/horses. Our mini horses are young and children feeding them is not recommended as they can't differentiate fingers from snacks.
