Description
Relax and unwind in this idyllic country house. The space Coltstone Farmhouse is a beautiful old stone built property in the Staffordshire Moorlands. Located off a quiet country road, sat in the middle of a 10 acre smallholding, it makes for a truly relaxing base from which to explore. The local village of Ipstones (10 minutes walk) is a friendly place, with 3 pubs, two of which serve food, a well stocked Londis and a farm shop/ butchers. The house itself has two upstairs double bedrooms, both with ensuites, a down stairs bedroom and wetroom, sitting room with log burning fire, scullery and a dining kitchen which leads onto a patio with outside seating and fire pit. The property is cottage like in style and cosy, decorated in a modern farmhouse style. Outside, there is a patio and lawned garden, landscaped with herbaceous borders and rhododendron hedging which is alive with flowers in late spring. The mature trees around the land add to the tranquility and lend a retreat like atmosphere; sure to help you forget your everyday cares. There is lots to see and do in the surrounding area, from the Derbyshire dales, local market towns (Buxton, Ashbourne, Leek) to family fun at Alton Towers , the Heights of Abraham and pottery painting at Wedgewood or Emma Bridgewater. The house is dog friendly, but please note there are horses (little and large) and sheep with babes at foot in the fields, so dogs will need to be a lead outdoors. Guest access Guests are welcome to use the garden for games and to walk in the fields, but please secure gates behind you as the animals will happily go off exploring given half a chance. Especially pur randy little Shetland stallion, who has a list of local ladies he would love to impress!
