Elk Haven Cabins are poised in a perfect setting only minutes from downtown Custer in the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota. Our location provides convenient access to many local attractions including Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse and Custer State Park. Each cabin has a main floor bedroom with queen bed and a loft with 2 queen beds. The loft is a common area divided by a wall - not private. Cabins have full kitchen, bbq on deck, fire pit, picnic table. We are pet friendly. No cleaning fees. Our location provides convenient access to many of the local attractions including Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Custer State Park...yet are off the beaten path just 1.5 miles off of Highway 16. We offer unparalleled Black Hills and Mount Rushmore accommodations with privacy in the peaceful surroundings of the Black Hills pines, where wildlife abounds; providing a peaceful alternative to other crowded Black Hills motels. Each cabin will sleep six comfortably. The cabins provide wonderful space for families, especially those wishing to enjoy end of the day quiet time and meals at "home", while on your Mount Rushmore and Black Hills vacation. Guest access There is approximately 7 acres the cabins sit on and you are free to explore. Be aware that it is rocky terrain and you are in the middle of the Black Hills. We have critters that live in the forest. We recommend not speeding down Little Italy Road as there are wild turkey and deer that roam the area. Other things to note The Pet Fee will be collected as a 7th person fee. Please indicate 7 people if you are bringing a dog. If you show up with a pet without adding the 7th person for the pet fee - we will collect it upon arrival. We do not allow more than 6 people per cabin. Our daily rate includes a 6% sales tax.
