The space A bit of history: In the early 1900s, moonshiners souped up their Fords to evade authorities chasing them through the mountainous backroads of Ellijay. Who knows, one such getaway road may have been our very own Ducktown Lane. Their products were sold at secretive Speakeasies throughout the south where you'd have to whisper a code through the door to make your way in. Ducktown Lane is most certainly your getaway route to the most incredible creekfront escape. At the Creekeasy, instead of whispering your code through the door, you'll just key it in on the keyless entry and evade life's stress and worries at our creekfront cabin; the perfect mountain getaway with all the Speakeasy vibes. Note about the property: The Creekeasy is a creekfront mountain cabin located on a private gravel road. Ducktown Lane is narrow and at some points fairly steep. We highly recommend that you arrive during daylight hours. The Stay: The Creekeasy is a 2 bedroom, 2 bath cabin located on Mountaintown Creek, an award-winning trout creek, that provides recreational opportunities just beyond your front door. And if exploring historic Ellijay is part of your travel plans, you are just minutes from vineyards, orchards, mountain biking trails, Cohutta Wilderness, and all that downtown Ellijay has to offer. The Property: Outdoor Living/Entertainment | Speakeasy Feel | Waterfront | On-Site Trout Fishing The moment you walk through the front door, you will immediately turn around to make sure you didn't step through the swinging doors of an old western. The Creekeasy on Ducktown Lane transports you back to the hidden speakeasies of the Georgia mountains and evokes the spirit of that era with its rich colors and cozy furnishings, setting the perfect ambiance for relaxation and good times. It's the ultimate couple's getaway, girls' trip, or fishing retreat to enjoy the most peaceful stay with unforgettable creekfront views. Downstairs: KITCHEN: Fully equipped with stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, cookware, dishware, flatware, spices, cooking basics, Martha Stewart Knife set, and more DINING AREA: The table is set for 4, but two chairs can be added to the ends from the upstairs bedroom. LIVING ROOM: Leather sofa and loveseat with side tables for drinks. Board games are behind the sofa. Large Smart TV and electric fireplace. OFFICE NOOK: Antique desk with basic supplies. Power strip and WiFi for technology devices. Upstairs: LOUNGE: A sitting area with a velvet loveseat and two leather chairs leading out to the upstairs balcony. Books for the lounge can be found in the magazine rack, on the bookshelf downstairs, and in the side tables in the bedrooms. MR. AND MRS. FOX'S ROOM: Queen bed and two side tables with charging stations and drawers for belongings. There is a sitting area with two chairs and a side table. Smart TV with a remote in one of the side tables next to the bed. In the closet there are extra linens, extra blankets, a hamper, a fold out twin mattress, and iron and ironing board. MR. AND MRS. HARE'S ROOM: Queen bed and two side tables with charging stations and drawers for belongings. There is a sitting area with one leather chair and a side table. Smart TV with a remote in one of the side tables next to the bed. In the closet there are extra linens, extra blankets, a hamper, and a fold out twin mattress. BATHROOMS: Each bathroom has a walk-in shower with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. There is a blow dryer under the sink. LAUNDRY NOOK: This is a washer/dryer combo, which means it does both in a longer cycle. Laundry detergent is provided. BALCONY: The dimmer switch to the balcony string lights is to the right of the sliding glass door. The cushions for the lounge chairs and bistro chairs are in the lounge behind the sofa and in the magazine rack. The lounge chairs have pull-out trays for drinks, snacks, and books. Outdoor: LOWER DECK: Gas grill with a side burner and dining area. Sitting area with propane fire table. Hot tub and a cabinet with towels. The dimmer switch to the string lights and chandelier is to the right of the back sliding glass door. FIRE PIT: Walk down the stairs and take the wood chip path to the left leading down to the creek to get to the fire pit. There is a storage cabinet with wood and fire extinguishers beside the sitting area. Behind the storage cabinet, there is a bucket to get creek water in case of a fire that gets out of control. Always put the cover over the fire pit before leaving the area. MOUNTAINTOWN CREEK: Enter the creek at your own risk. Fishing supplies are not provided, so please pack accordingly if you plan to fish. DARTS: A dart board is on the barn on the side of the cabin. Please be sure that all darts are returned to the board. Other things to note Details to note: -No Pets -No Smoking -The Creekeasy is not suitable for young children and people with mobility issues. There are lots of stairs at the property. All the bedrooms and bathrooms are upstairs. -No events, parties, or large gatherings -This property features two exterior security cameras. One faces the front porch and parking and another camera faces the back trail to the fire pit.
