Lone Oak Lodge-private yet 3 minutes from town

Our lodge sits just up over the hill from our family home on our 60 acres. Secluded yet just three minutes from Walmart and town. Our private drive comes to a V and you will veer left up a gravel lane to the lodge at the top of the hill. The wrap around deck, fire pit and grills/cookers allow for plenty of outside entertainment. We enjoy nothing better than to watch the sun go up or down from the deck. The space We have owned this property for many years-yet this particular space has always been rented yearly by a duck hunting club until the past few years. We have been busy updating and making changes and are still in the process of making improvements. We use it ourselves to house family and friends when they come to town and to host events such as birthday parties and cookouts. We have an annex onsite with additional beds but it is still a work in progress so it will remain locked. The master bedroom has a king size bed along with a daybed housing a twin mattress. The two other bedrooms house a double bed and a twin bed in each room. There is also a couch, love seat and rocker recliner for lounging in the living room. There are two bathrooms-both with bath or shower capability. The bath in the master bathroom is oversized. I always tell people up front that we are on a well. We have a water purifying system-but sometimes due to lack of use there is an odor with the water. There is a Traeger grill and a Cajun fish fryer available for use. Please reach out if you plan to use and my husband can give instructions for use. As noted on the main page-you will be coming in our private drive and will veer left up a gravel lane to the lodge. Gravel does get bumpy at times so please make note of this before booking. There is a large pond there on the property as well. If you have the urge to fish...bring your pole! We keep the brush cleaned out on the end closest to the house for a beautiful view and easy access to cast a line. We are centrally located between Poplar Bluff and Sikeston-about 20 minutes from each. We also are about 15 minutes from Otter Slough and around 25 minutes from Mingo and Duck Creek. Guest access We intentionally gave the address for our home so that guests will turn into our drive and head up to the lodge from our road and not from the other entrance. Please do not use the other gravel entrance on the North side of the property. As you head up AD blacktop there is Northwest Oaks subdivision on your right and then when the white vinyl fencing starts...you will need to start to slow. At the top of the hill there will be a big white mailbox on the right -this is the entrance to our driveway. If you get to Sadler Chapel Cemetery- you have gone past our drive. You will go past the no trespassing signs and around our pond. At the bottom of the hill you will have the option to go right to our home or veer left up the gravel to the lodge.
