NEIGHBORHOOD: The apartment is located in the Old Town or Staré Město which is recognized as one of the oldest and most beautiful locations in Prague, where the rich history is still evident today. Going off the beaten path and exploring the Prague Old Town will reward you with beautiful sights and experiences that you’ll treasure for life. Whichever direction you choose, you'll discover hundreds of possibilities for things to do and see. Start exploring by visiting one of the biggest churches in Prague, Tyn church, located right on the Old Town Square. The entrance might seem hidden, but all you need to do is to go through the arch between two restaurants! Stop by for the Astronomical clock show. It runs every hour sharp from 9 AM till 11 PM. Climb the Clock Tower and join a tour in the Old Town Hall. It costs 10 euro and even includes a tour of the Prague Underground. Visit the Powder Tower, a Gothic gate to the city. You can even climb the tower for an unusual view of Prague! Check out the Charles University. They often have some cool exhibitions in the historical spaces of the building. Go to the opera in The Estate Theatre that became famous worldwide thanks to Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Find a strange Franz Kafka monument next to the Spanish Synagog. Stroll through the former Jewish Ghetto, where Oldnew Synagogue and the Old Jewish Cemetery are located. Visit the Clementinum complex famous for its beautiful library, Mirror Chapel, and Astronomical Tower. Visit masterpiece of medieval Gothic architecture - Charles Bridge and much more. All reachable by foot from your apartment. Local Tip: Wake up early and make it to the first Astronomical Clock show of the day at 9 AM. There will not be crowds of people and you can have an almost private experience of watching the figures of the clock doing their centuries-old routine. Climb one of the towers of the Charles Bridge for one of the best views in Prague. Explore Romanesque and Gothic underground for free by going to the basements of popular restaurants such as U Pavouka or U Dvou Kocek. GETTING AROUND: The best way to explore Prague is to walk, especially as you will be staying in the city center of the Old Town. The closest subway station is: Můstek (green line A/airport connection) just 4 mins from the apartment. Alternative ways of getting around are renting a bike or a scooter through the corresponding applications. Lastly, you can always use Bolt, uber or Liftago to get you anywhere. AIRPORT It takes 30 minutes to get to the apartment by taxi. We can organize a transfer from the airport directly to the apartment - our driver will meet you in the arrival zone, please ask us for more details. PARKING If you come to Prague by car, search for mrparkit, they have the best prices in Prague. They vary from 11-25€/day. Parking on streets is mainly for residents, or it is a bit pricey. We can also give you some recommendations on garages.
