The space We are proud and excited to welcome guests to beautiful 49 Upper Stables Cottages on the exclusive and prestigious Maenporth Estate. Our lovely owners have created a wonderful ground floor open-plan living room that offers a bright and spacious double aspect sitting area with cream leather sofas, beautiful artwork, large smart TV, dining room table and a well equipped, sleek modern kitchen. The glass brick detailing in the kitchen is a brilliant touch... The sitting room has French doors that open onto a private patio area with alfresco dining and extensive lawned gardens with woodland and ocean views. Upstairs the master bedroom with king size bed has beautiful countryside and sea views. The second and third bedrooms have been recently refurbished with views of Maenporth’s glorious gardens with cherry blossom trees and mature Cornish exotics. The cottage is situated in the very heart of the prestigious Maenporth estate. It is just a stone’s-throw away from the indoor heated swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, tennis and pickle ball courts. These facilities are open all year-round and are all included in the cost of your stay with us. This lovely home provides its guests with a perfect place to relax and enjoy wild and beautiful Cornwall with everything you could need on your doorstep. It goes without saying that one of Cornwall’s greatest assets is it south-west coastal path, the U.K.’s longest and best loved national Trail. There are six official walk starting from Maenporth estate taking in Rosemullion, Swanpool, Durgen, Helford Passage, Falmouth Docks and Pendennis Castle. Guest access The cottage is for your use alone. You will not be disturbed unless you contact us with any questions. Everywhere in Maenporth itself is within easy walking distance. For travels further field a car is recommended. Vibrant Falmouth with a wealth of shops, Cafes restaurants, galleries and museums is located approximately 3 miles away. Local taxis are available. Shopping deliveries to Maenporth are provided by Sainsbury’s and Asda in Falmouth and Waitrose and Tesco’s inTruro. Please request a travel court and highchair if you require them. We do ask that you provide your own baby bedding and travel cot mattress if you require one. We provide towels for use inside the apartment, but please bring your own swimming and beach towels. There is a large communal barbecue area in a pretty exotic garden to the side of the swimming pool. There is lots of table seating there for you to use just add charcoal and food and you are away! Other things to note For those that don't fancy the walk up and down the hill to the estate, on-beach parking is available all day too for around £4 per day in high season. Out of season this parking is free. Maenporth is a wonderful swimming beach on accounts that the cove is well sheltered and when the tide is low you can walk out quite far and stay in your depth. Perfect for families with kids... Great snorkelling around the edges of the beach - sometimes we even spot dolphins in the bay! Bring your binoculars! There is even a shipwreck that is visible above the water at lowtide just past the headland on the left of the cove. Its exciting to paddle board and explore there... Please note that each home on Maenporth Estate has hot water provided by electric immersion tank. These heat up overnight and can also be boosted during the day. This means that the hot water can run out if you have deep baths or shower in succession. Please reheat the tank after using and be mindful of the fact that the hot water is not endless or instant. Other showers are available at the swimming pool during opening times. Our guests have direct access to the South West Coastal path which you can pick up on either side of Maenporth beach. There are countless walks exploring the area is gorgeous what ever time of year. The walk from the back of the cafe along the coast can take in local Swanpool Beach for a quick stop at the bar or picnic tables at 'Hooked on the Rocks'. From here you can continue along the path all the way into Falmouth and much loved 'Ghylly Beach'...
