Grill/fire pit The Dock N Ride is a historical mining house from the late 1800's which was moved from Republic to South Republic most likely in the 50's or 60's. This is a cozy three bedroom house set up for our large family which provides the maximum amount if sleeping space so that our family can be together and enjoy all of the outdoor recreation that this area has to offer. We are 45 minutes from Iron Mountain, and 45 minutes from Marquette. The Iron Ore Heritage Trail is 3 miles North of the house along with access to the Michigamme Basin with swimming beach and boat landing. Orv trails and snowmobile trails access are a short ride north from the house. Peter's hardware, a gas and convenience store is three blocks south. The Mini Mart, Pine Grove Bar (drinks and pizza) and the Summerplace Restaurant are three miles North in Republic. No trailering to trails, you can leave right from the house. The Moose Country Snowmobile Club does an excellent job on the trails! You have access to Big Bay, Copper Harbor, and some of the best trails in the state right from the house. The Dock N Ride provides a gas grill and fire pit (firewood provided) with lawn chairs and outdoor table. New fish cleaning station We are a short distance away. Available by phone. Quiet, historical mining town of South Republic with awesome neighbors! South Republic is the center of the Upper Peninsula. The Michigamme Basin with a boat landing and swimming beach are nearby on River road. There is also boat access just north of the house on the river and many more lakes within a 20 mile distance from the house. Perch Lake is one Mile North of Republic. The Iron Ore Heritage Trail begins at the Heritage garden also in North in Republic. We are 45 minutes from Marquette and 45 minutes from Iron Mountain and the beautiful new Pine Mountain Ski Jump. There is a gas and convenience store 3 blocks south of the house, a Mini Mart in North Republic, and a large gas station and convenience store 11 miles North if the house on the corner of M95 and US41. All orv and snowmobile trails are accessible from the house, making trailering unnecessary. In late winter, snowmobiles may have to trailer 3 miles North to the trail with ample parking space in North Republic. Check out our online guidebook! The Moose Country Snowmobile Club is on Facebook, they do a super jib on the trails! Wildlife sanctuary, beaches, snowmobile trails and orv trails are accessible from the house. There is great hunting and fishing in surrounding area. We are centrally located in the great Upper Peninsula! M95 is the highway that runs by Republic. Enjoy parking and room for a trailer. Trail maps are available for snowmobiling and orv. Swimming beach and boat landing are near by.
