We are pleased to offer this apartment that is walking distance to the vibrant Ellsworth Main Street. Located near several cafes, a yoga studio, local breweries (Fogtown!) and plenty of restaurants. It is just a few miles from the wonders of Acadia National Park - both Mount Desert Island and Schoodic, and the artist studios of the Blue Hill and Deer Isle and Stonington Peninsula. For outdoor enthusiasts, you will be near lakes, hiking trails and spectacular biking paths and sightseeing roads. The space The second floor apartment has two large bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the second with a double bed; there are two full baths. It has an elegant wooden bannister to get you up the steep stairs, and a cozy living room with TV, couch and chairs to relax after a day of sight seeing. The full eat in kitchen gets nice morning and evening light to prepare your meals or enjoy take out. The bedrooms have in-windows AC; the rest of the space allows nice cross ventilation and we have provided standup and box fans to encourage the air flow on those days when there isn’t a coastal breeze. The first floor of the building is also available for weekly rental (2 BR/1 BA). Guest access The entire apartment is yours for enjoyment. We do require a six night minimum in summer and maximum of two weeks unless special request. Feel free to describe what you need in sending an inquiry. Other things to note The apartment is conveniently located along one of the main roads leading north to Bangor, Route 1a, where it is only one lane each direction, and low speed limit because it is one block from the intersection and downtown. It is an historic residential area, with homes that have been converted into offices and apartments. At busy times during the week, there can be a fair bit of traffic, so turning left onto that road is challenging - but there are easy alternate paths. Additionally, the routes to Acadia, Downeast, Blue Hill and coastal communities are all headed south along that road, so right turn entering. As for traffic noise, the bedrooms are on the other side of the building, and in general this is a residential, low speed area, however for light sleepers or those who anticipate being home and napping during the day, we suggest using the AC.
