Built in 1890 this quirky lovely old dame oozes charm and history. Room VI is the perfect spot for a couple's romantic getaway, a writers retreat or a digital nomad. This garden room has its own wood burning stove. Communal guest cooking facilities are available indoors and outdoors. Tradouw is a stone's throw from all that the queer and quaint town of Barrydale has to offer, but you probably won't want to leave the shaded courtyard and expansive wild garden. Karoo hospitality at its best ! The space Tradouw has 5 bedrooms with en-suite showers and toilets. All of the rooms are privately accessed, offering comfortable bed, en suite private bathrooms, linen and towels, and tea and coffee-making facilities. Room #5 and #6 feature cozy fireplaces - perfect for those chilly Karoo evenings - have their own private patios and open up onto the garden, while the other three rooms open onto the courtyard. The property also offers guests the use of 2 well-equipped kitchenettes, one of which is an outdoor kitchenette, a common room, a large garden with mountain views, and a Weber braai. This guest house is a short walk away from all Barrydale has to offer. Guest access The reception room, courtyard, outside kitchenette, indoor kitchenette and large four twenty friendly garden are all at your disposal. Other things to note Breakfast/ braai packs are available on request with 24 hours notice. For a flexible arrival, late or early we have a lockbox system. We also provide our guests with recommendations for the area and extra activities on request.
