Reconnect with nature in the breathtaking Applegate Valley while enjoying the comfort of our cozy covered wagons. Take a step back in time and create memories as our ancestors did on the Oregon trail in covered wagons. Escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life & unwind in our Paradise on the Applegate River. The space Rustic Sundance Homestead is nestled in a lush forest along the Applegate River on 11 acres. We have 2 Conestoga Wagons at our Glamping wagon camp. Each wagon has its own private space and dedicated full bathroom. Enjoy our private swimming area fed by the Applegate River. Bring an inner tube, small raft or kayak for the swimming hole or even the River. Feel free to connect with nature on the trails that meander through the forest on our homestead. Say hi to the many animals on our homestead/farm including: Dolly the Llama, Nigerian Dwarf goats, Emus, Mini Pig, Turkeys, chickens, peacock & peahen, guinea fowl, parakeets, quails and more. Guest tours may be available depending on our availability. We generally are on the homestead tending to the animals, crops etc. Just let us know ahead of time if you'd like a tour & we can coordinate a time. Guest access You will be able to enjoy our swimming hole/area, the river area (along our property), nature trails, and areas outside of the animal fencing and fencing around our home. All guests must be with a host to enter into any areas fenced for the animals. Other things to note BEDS- EACH WAGON CAN SLEEP UP TO 5 PEOPLE Each wagon has a king bed, a set of bunk beds (2 mattresses/sleeps 1 on each mattress) and an optional 4th bed is a futon mattress and best suited for a child. 5 adults would not be a great fit for one wagon unless the 5th didn't mind a somewhat thin futon mattress. FISHING: Yes! You can fish for trout and even steelhead on our property as long as you have a valid fishing license. SWIMMING/TUBBING/KAYAKING: You may enjoy our swimming hole/area and the river at your own risk. There will not be any lifeguard on duty. All children and non swimmers must bring & wear life jackets/life vests. Host is not liable for any accidents or injuries. Floatation devices are not provided. ITEMS YOU MAY WANT TO BRING: Cooler (Small mini fridge inside wagon for minimal items that need to keep cool) Sunscreen Life jackets/vests for children & non swimmers Inner tubes, small rafts, floaties Fishing Poles Beach Towels (Shower towels are provided) Water Sandals/Water shoes Headlamps/flashlights Plates, Bowls Eating Utensils (forks, knives, spoons) Napkins/Paper Towels Cups (coffee mugs & wine glasses are provided) Bug spray/Bug repellent
