Excellent location 3 km from downtown Cunha, with easy access to the highway and close to the main tourist attractions - Pedra da Macela, Parque Florestal, ceramic and handicraft workshops. Come enjoy the end of summer in the quiet of the mountain and very close to the sea. The space The 5-hectare property was acquired in the early 2000s with the aim of preserving a hill that had served as pasture, and had been in natural regeneration for about 50 years, therefore already with a small forest. The main house was built in 2011, with the aim of developing an activity to receive people visiting Cunha. The place is very pleasant, surrounded by woods, which makes people feel very good and want to stay longer. In order to share this "paradise" with as many people as possible, in 2017 I signed up on the Airbnb website and started hosting guests in the extra room of my own residence. In 2020, I had to discontinue the service because of the pandemic. The demand for lodging increased and I decided to build the chalet, a space with greater privacy to provide this pleasant experience of being in contact with nature. We have seen several animals here such as tamarins, coatis, porcupines, peacocks, woodpeckers, toucans, many other birds, and we have also received visits from pigs, capybaras, seriemas and two beautiful peacocks. We always want guests to have this pleasant experience. Guest access The chalet is located on the highway that connects Cunha to Paraty, with direct access by asphalt, very close to downtown Cunha (3 km away). Nearby, along the road, there are several cafes, breweries, restaurants, lavender productions, olive groves and other attractions, such as the Serra do Mar State Park, which is 23.4 km away, and Pedra da Macela, which is 16.5 km away. Paraty is 40 km down the mountain. Other things to note The chalet has a combined living room and kitchen, a bathroom and a mezzanine with a double bed. The front wall and windows are made of glass and have no curtains, providing greater proximity to nature. It is possible to accommodate two other people on a futon sofa, forming single or double beds, but the space is limited. There is also a small fireplace for fire lovers. It is very close to the road, so subject to possible noise from motorcycles and trucks, as well as music from short-term neighbors. At night, the place is usually quiet. The internet was installed with fiber optics, has good quality and I usually use youtube, watch Netflix and live TV programs without any problems. I also receive guests who do short-term work. It is worth remembering that we are in a rural area subject to climatic eventualities. We accept pets as long as they are on a leash because we have dogs that are kept in cages but may be startled by the presence of other animals in the vicinity.
