🐷 We love pigs and dogs! 🐶 Set in a farming community just 10 minutes from beautiful beaches where dolphins are often spotted, The Little Fox is the perfect secluded getaway. ✨ Enjoy dark skies and stargazing from your own private 6-acre retreat, away from other properties. 🛁 Fully enclosed electric hot tub (small extra fee) — no logs or waiting, just hop in and relax! 🔥 Wood-burning stove, fire pit, seating area and a unique horse-trailer shower complete this countryside escape. 🌟 The space Y Cadno Bach (The little fox) is a rustic, hidden gem – a truly unique open-plan wooden cabin tucked away in the countryside. 🔥 Featuring a cosy wood-burning stove, luxury enclosed Canadian Spa hot tub (small usage fee applies), kitchen area, unique horse-box shower room, huge Kadai BBQ/fire pit (wood provided), outdoor seating and deck chairs for warmer days. 🌿 Set half a mile from the nearest road and a quarter of a mile from any neighbouring property, Y Cadno offers peace, privacy and stunning views across the surrounding farmland and woodland from its private 6 -acre setting. 🐶 The cabin’s immediate garden area is fully enclosed with timber fencing and mesh, making it secure for most dogs. Guests also have exclusive use of 6 acres of private, livestock-free land, perfect for dog walking or simply enjoying a peaceful wander. 🍺 We’re just a mile from the dog-friendly Gilfach Inn, which has an open fire and a warm welcome. Please check opening times before visiting, and food is not currently served. You’ll also find local dining and takeaway recommendations in the photo section and welcome information. ⚡ Due to the nature of the cabin’s off-grid-style electricity supply, we cannot provide a high-wattage electric heater. A small oil-filled radiator is available, but the wood-burning stove is the primary source of heating. ❤️ Travelling with friends? (Please note neighbouring fields may contain livestock.) 🐶 The immediate garden area is fully enclosed, making it secure for most dogs. 🚗 Private parking area. 🔥 Large Kadai BBQ/fire pit and a luxury summerhouse featuring a fully electric hot tub. (Small surcharge applies for hot tub use.) ✨ Perfect for those seeking peace, privacy and plenty of space to unwind. Other things to note 🎥 There is CCTV covering the parking area only, so we can confirm guests have arrived safely and know when the accommodation is vacant for cleaning. ❤️ Please note: Y Cadno is a retreat for two guests only. We do not allow children. 🛁 Hot Tub The hot tub surcharge is kept as low as possible and is generally less than many Airbnb properties (please enquire before booking). While an electric hot tub is more convenient and luxurious than a wood-fired tub, it comes with significant electricity and cleaning costs. Charging separately helps keep our nightly rate and Airbnb fees lower for guests. 🔥 Heating & Fire Pit The wood burner is the cabin’s main source of heat, with logs provided free of charge. Due to the electricity supply being routed from over half a mile away, we can only provide a small oil-filled radiator. The wood burner comfortably heats the entire cabin, even overnight. Instructions for use are included in the welcome pack, and there are plenty of helpful videos online if needed. Wood, kindling and firelighters are also provided free of charge for the Kadai fire pit. Small bags of coal and disposable BBQs are available for a small charge. 🐶 Dogs Welcome We love dogs and they’re very welcome at Y Cadno! Please remember to add pets to your booking in the ‘guests’ section, and kindly avoid leaving them unattended in the cabin unless you’re confident they’ll be comfortable and settled. Each dog will receive their own welcome pack! 🐾 If your dog sleeps on the bed (as ours do!) and has short, spiky hair, such as a Jack Russell, we kindly ask that you bring your own bedding. Unfortunately, these hairs can be extremely difficult to remove and can occasionally result in additional cleaning costs or the replacement of bed linen. 🙈 For all other coat types, there’s no problem at all—we can easily remove those as part of our normal cleaning routine. Thank you for your understanding! 😊🐾🐶 🍳 Kitchen Facilities The kitchen includes a kettle, microwave, small air fryer, toaster and single-ring induction hob. The under-counter fridge/freezer has limited space, but shops can be found within a 10-minute drive. 🎈 Special Occasions We can decorate the cabin with balloons and banners for £15. For £50, we can also include a bottle of prosecco and a personalised locally made cake (see photos for examples). 🚕 Taxis If you plan to use taxis during your stay, we strongly recommend booking in advance, especially during summer. Being in the countryside, availability can be limited.
