The space Please note this is an UPSTAIRS apartment in a historic home and is not accessible for those who cannot climb one flight of stairs. Also, this is not ideal for small children, as it hasn’t been childproofed and there is a staircase with no door to block it. Parking is free on the streets around the home. Muncie is infamous for having a lot of train tracks, and there's nothing we can do about the intervals of noisy trains passing through town. If you're sensitive to noise, please bring earplugs and consider using a white noise app on your phone for sleeping. There are two bedrooms - the main bedroom is spacious and has a king-size bed, sitting area, and workspace with desk and lamp. The second bedroom is quite small and has a full-size bed. Two people can sleep there but it is snug. Both beds are memory foam. No linens are provided for the couch as it is not considered a sleeping area for this unit. There is one bathroom with a tub and shower. There is NO laundry in this apartment. The kitchen is well-equipped; we provide a coffee-maker and ground coffee, sugar, powdered creamer, and tea for your stay, as well as other basics like oil, salt, and pepper. The 55-inch Smart TV in the living room is logged in to Prime Video with HBO Max access. You can log into your favorite apps on the TV as well with your own account (Netflix, Hulu, Disney, etc.). Heat & AC: The house has central air; however, since it is a historic home the temperature can be tricky to regulate fully. We include window air conditioning units in warm months, and space heaters in cold months so that you can fully customize your temperature. Guest access Guests have full private access to the apartment through private entrance and stairs; no shared spaces. Other things to note We have lived in this historic, urban neighborhood (Old West End in Muncie) for 20 years. We love living here - but please be aware - it's not suburb-style living. The neighborhood is diverse and being revitalized with many previously-abandoned houses in the process of rehabilitation. It is a safe neighborhood and we have never had any issues living here, and we enjoy the diversity of the people who live here.
