Just a 25-minute drive from Cape Breton Highlands National Park, this is the perfect place to reconnect with nature while enjoying a few thoughtful comforts along the way. Designed for guests who love the outdoors and value simplicity, our glamping experience invites you to slow down, unplug, and enjoy life outside—without needing to pitch a tent or pack the basics. The space Live Life In Tents is set within an open, natural landscape with sweeping views of the surrounding Highlands. Our furnished safari-style glamping tents offer a near off-grid experience with a comfortable twist. Each spacious 16 × 20 ft canvas tent is set on a raised platform and comfortably sleeps 2–4 guests. Inside, you’ll find: * One queen bed * Two twin camping beds (for additional guests) * Fresh bedding, towels, and sleeping bags * Cooking gear and dishes Every tent includes its own private fire pit and a peaceful view of the valley—perfect for evenings under the stars. The campground includes five glamping tents with the same setup, along with a small number of unserviced campsites. Fresh drinking water is available on site, and shared washrooms and heated outdoor showers are just a short walk away. Wi-Fi and power are available at our camp shop. Our facilities include: * Two composting toilets * Two heated outdoor showers * A sink for dishwashing We use a humanure composting system with sawdust sourced from a local mill. It’s simple, clean, and eco-friendly—though not glamorous. Guests unfamiliar with composting toilets may wish to read up beforehand to ensure comfort. Guest access Guests have access to the entire campground, with drive-up parking at each site. Shared spaces include: * The cookhouse * A small shop and workspace with coffee & Wi-Fi The shop is typically open from 9:00 am until 7:00 pm, with extended hours on some weekends. Other things to note Live Life In Tents is operated by a local adventure tourism company. During the day, you may see guests coming and going for tours and rentals.
