Description
This property is the best of both worlds...it's remote/private, yet only 10 minutes to West Saint John and all the big box stores. It is only a few minutes further to fantastic tourist spots such as Reversing Falls, Irving Nature Park, and so much more!! It is a 5 minute walk to Saint John Marina where you can enjoy beautiful views of the Saint John River and enjoy a great meal/live music.This property is surrounded by forestry - please be mindful of wildlife (deer, bears, raccoons, etc.)! The space This is a 2 bedroom, 1 bath home. Both bedrooms have queen beds. There are two living rooms... one on the main floor and one upstairs. There is also a tv in each living room, equipped with Netflix, Disney +, and Prime TV. Guest access You are welcome to use the entire home, but access to and from the home will be from the side door only, as this is where the remote keyless entry is. The front door is permanently locked to guests at this time. Other things to note Please carefully read the information regarding the septic and well systems! :) At the time of booking, the names of all guests will be required. HOUSE RULES • FIRST AND FOREMOST, I REALLY HOPE YOU ENJOY YOUR STAY!! Sleeping accommodations are restricted to the beds ONLY. Guests are not to be sleeping on either of the couches. Additional guests that are not identified at the time of booking, will be subject to an additional charge of $50 per guest per day. • Please leave the house in the condition you found it. • Please keep ALL items away from baseboard heaters. Anything too close to a heater is a fire hazard! • Please wash and put away all dishes. • Please place all wet/dirty towels and dish cloths in the bathtub before leaving. • Please place garbage and recycling inside garage/cellar and in the bins provided. Garbage goes in the large brown bin, recycling in the blue bin. The key will be hanging next to the side door. Please ensure the garage door is properly closed and locked behind you (it can be a bit finicky), and place key back on the hook. • DO NOT flush anything other than toilet paper as we are on a septic system. If any damage is done to the system due to other items/objects being flushed, the repair cost will be charged back to the renter. • PLEASE be mindful of daily water usage as we are on a well. Extreme over-use of water in one singular day may cause the well to “run-dry”. This is potentially very damaging to the well. Similar to the above point, if any damage is done to the well system, the repair cost will be charged back to the renter. • Please ensure the side door is locked when you leave. To lock the Alfred lock, simply hold down any key. The light should flash red once it is locked. DO NOT touch the lock on the doorknob. If the doorknob is locked, you will be locked out of the house. • Please discuss with your host, whether open fires are permitted during your stay. Due to dry climate periods, there may be an active fire ban and you will not be permitted to have a fire. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THERE HAVE BEEN BEAR SIGHTINGS ON THIS STREET. PLEASE SPEND TIME OUTSIDE AT NIGHT WITH EXTREME CAUTION!! • If open fires are allowed during your stay, please ensure to use the bucket provided to extinguish all fires. This may require 3-5 trips/buckets. • The BBQ MUST be cleaned thoroughly after each use and re-covered with the tarp provided. Any food left on the grill and/or outside on the property, WILL attract bears and other wildlife. Please do not leave ANY food outside. • Please do not remove any patio chairs/tables from the main lower deck or the upper deck platform. They are intended for use in those locations ONLY.
