The Conifers Bedsit S Catering Flat in Nat Reserve

Description

Free return taxi to Eden b4 9pm, see notes. The Conifers is a very small, stylish bedsit flat in Par Nature Reseve with a lovely Victorian garden, surrounded by ancient woods. It has a small galley kitchen (5x8ft) a small double bedroom and a shower room, but no lounge. It has its own entrance, a large drive and secure, dry storage with hose for bikes etc. 2.3 miles from Eden, a 5 min walk from Par train station (0.3 mile), 100m from the bus stop to Fowey/Truro and 1.1 miles from Par beach. The space This luxury apartment consists of a small kitchen/diner with dishwasher, 104 litre fridge with large 17 litre icebox, 20 litre microwave, convection oven and grill and a medium sized air fryer. We have just added a plug in induction hob with extractor fan. It is well equipped with everything you need, including oil and spices, tea, coffee etc. The small double bedroom has an incredibly comfortable bed which has springs overlaid with memory foam and a gel infused top layer. One side of the bed is against the wall, so it might not suit elderly guests as you have to slide down the wall if the other side is occupied. There is a desk with a book swap and an HDTV with Disney, Amazon and Netflix. We have all terrestrial channels through Freeview Plus. Our Wi-Fi is free , works well and averages ls 35.5 Mb/s. We can remove the desk and add a cot if you wish to bring a child up to 3yrs old at no extra charge. We've had guests ask to bring 2 children on their own mattresses. This fine as long as you realise that it's a small room. The same applies to dogs and cats ( and any animals; as we had a ferret once); I don't mind how many as long as you don't mind that it is small. The bathroom has an overhead shower ( plus hand held head) which is truly heavenly. There is a Laundry room in a porch just outside the flat entrance. There is a fee of £5 for a quick wash and dry, £9.00 for a 4hr wash and dry or I leave it up to you if it's somewhere in between. Anything that can't go in the dryer can go on a clothes horse under the covered glass porch to dry or you can use my washing line under cover. There is an iron and ironing mat in the room and a large board next to the washing machine. Guest access Guests will have their own double driveway leading to their own entrance at the back of the house. Once through the gate (60cm wide), the flat path to the apartment door is covered by a picturesque bridge and long glass porch which you can use to securely store surf boards, wetsuits. inflatables etc. There is also a hose just inside the gate. We are graduallyrestoring our beautiful Victorian garden and have just put up a new pagoda and dining area with bistro set and a sofa/daybed with canopy for our guests. Other things to note We are a 3-5 minute walk from Par train station, 100m from the bus to Fowey/Truro, etc and 1.1 miles from Par beach (20 mins walk). Connections to the Eden Project aren't great, so I am offering a free return lift for pedestrians during the day, and for those with cars, I'll drop you at evening performances up until 9pm but ask that you get a taxi back. I am also happy to provide a day return for those with cars if elderly or anxious. I do ask that guests give me 48hrs notice when needing a lift due to appointments etc. There are several local taxi firms and private hire companies and I usually pay c. £12 from Eden to The Conifers with KP cabs. We are a convenient location if you are walking the SW coastal path. We are happy to lend you bodyboards, balls, buckets and spades for the beach. There is a summer beach shop on Par Sands with hire equipment and Polkerris beach shop with watersports offers boats and training just around the next headland. Alongside and opposite our house is Par ( St. Andrew's) Duck Pond and Wetlands Nature Reserve. Past the pond, there is a small woods and a large Bunnyfield which connects to the beach side of the village. Just 30m from our house, there is a very picturesque walk to Treesmill village alongside an ancient shallow river with fields either side. Children and dogs love to play in it and it usually has a swing hanging from a tree. It is very Swallows and Amazons. Just over a mile away is Pontsmill, the lower entrance to Luxulyan Valley with its famous aqueduct, picnic areas and a riverside beach, see photos. There are several pubs within a 10 min walk. There are also many take away establishments locally, including a kebab house, 4 fish and chips shops , several Chinese restaurants and an Indian. Many of them deliver. There is a PL24 map with walks etc which you can download online or take from here.
