🍁 Autumn in Berkhout/Hoorn Stay in our cozy studio with lots of privacy. Upon arrival, chocolate milk with whipped cream will be waiting for you. Outings: On Saturdays, go to the market in Hoorn for a warm stroopwafel. Stroll along the harbor or explore the Museum of the 20th Century. A lovely walk in the woods near Bergen, getting some fresh air by the sea near Egmond, ice skating in Hoorn, or a day in Amsterdam. End the day in the garden, light the fire pit and enjoy the view over the water. The space The studio has its own entrance with a hallway that gives access to the bathroom. It has a toilet, shower, hairdryer and various toiletries such as shampoo, conditioner, body wash and towels. In the main room, there is a comfortable king-size bed measuring 2.00 x 1.80 meters with a luxurious mattress topper. You will also find a movable table, a comfortable sofa to relax on, and a TV. Board games are also available. The kitchen is located in the same room and is equipped with a refrigerator, kettle, coffee maker, oven/microwave and an egg cooker. Please note: there is no hob. Drawers are available for storing clothes, and in the second hallway towards the garden, there is extra space to hang clothes. The garden is shared and is right on the waterfront. Guest access You have your own private entrance and therefore enjoy complete privacy. The studio is all to yourself, with unobstructed views of the water and without any overlooking. You are warmly welcome in our fenced garden with a dock. There is also a bench on the jetty behind the studio especially for guests. There is good public transportation nearby with direct connections to Amsterdam, Hoorn, Alkmaar and Utrecht, among others, ideal for a day in the city. When we are at home, you share the rest of the garden with us and our two dogs. Our dogs (Chino & Tira) are friendly, but can be a bit insecure around new people. They sometimes bark for a while, but as soon as they realize that everything is fine, they automatically calm down. Feel free to ignore them at first; that helps the most. Other things to note 🥐 Breakfast service Start your day relaxed with a fresh and extensive breakfast, served at home. Available daily between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Price: 17.50 per person for one day. And 15.00 per person for a minimum of two days. Please let us know in advance. Please make a reservation before 6:00 PM the night before. 🛶 Feel like spending a day on the water? Please note! Boat rental is only available in summer. Rent a canoe or our motorboat and discover the beautiful waterways of Berkhout and its surroundings. Sail through the woods, past green meadows, and enjoy the peace and space that make West Friesland so special. Canoe rental from €12.50 per hour and boat rental from €35 for 2 hours. ☀️🚤 Advance booking is preferred.
