The space Your private converted 20ft container offers a comfortable double-sized bed featuring a double mattress, comfortable pillows, and soft bedding. Note this a 4 ft bed and is slightly tight for 2 people. A walk-in giant mosquito net guarantees a restful sleep. An additional 3.5*6 ft day bed, complete with an optional extra mosquito net, offers versatility. Inside, you'll find hanging space, shelves, bold and colorful décor, and a lockable door for your security. Solar lights provide evening ambiance. Step onto your mini private patio for lovely garden and Nile glimpses, complete with a chair and coffee table. You'll have access to our communal open-plan kitchen (equipped for gas stove cooking and BBQ facilities) and the shared nature-inspired bathroom with a cold shower and toilet. Feel free to relax in the communal living area or explore our 6 acres of semi-wild gardens with swinging beds and picnic benches. Guest access As our guest, you'll have full access to our entire 6-acre riverside haven! This includes: * Communal Spaces: Our welcoming open-plan kitchen, comfortable indoor and outdoor dining areas, and relaxing living room. * Outdoor Relaxation: Numerous hammocks strung throughout the property and several scenic picnic benches perfect for enjoying a meal or the view. * Edible Oasis: Explore our kitchen garden and feel free to harvest fresh herbs to enhance your cooking. * Riverside Fun: Direct access to the majestic Nile for swimming and launching our paddle boards and kayaks (available for your use!). We can also arrange a unique boat pick-up directly from our garden. * Fitness & Play: Get active with our slack line, rings, TRX suspension trainer, and even a boxing bag! * Local Flavors: Enjoy our BBQ area, including a traditional Ugandan "sigiri" charcoal grill for authentic outdoor cooking. * Your Personal Retreat: Grab a mat from your room and find your own perfect spot anywhere on the property to relax and soak in the tranquility. During your stay While we deeply respect your privacy, I (Lucy), the host, live on-site and am dedicated to enhancing your experience. Benson, our gardener, is usually around during the day to help keep things safe and the property beautiful. You're warmly welcome to join me for a relaxed campfire chat each evening, share your travel stories, or ask for local tips – or simply enjoy the peace and quiet of your own space; just let me know your preference. Security: For your peace of mind, we have two dedicated security guards on duty throughout the night who are there to take care of things, can offer assistance if needed, and help get the campfire going. Guests are kindly reminded that they are responsible for the security of their own personal belongings. The container rooms also have lockable doors. A first aid kit is located in the communal area. Housekeeping: Our housekeeper will call into the communal areas to clean in the morning and afternoon. For long-term stays, clothes washing is included. A small fee applies for clothes washing for short-term guests. Other things to note * Power: We run on solar power, and there is only 12V USB charging available on-site. A power bank is highly recommended for charging your devices. * Bathroom: Solar powered hot showers * Friendly Furry Companions: Our friendly dogs share the outdoor space. A tolerance of dogs is essential for your enjoyable stay. We also have cats and cows on the property. * Self-Catering: Our communal kitchen is equipped for self-catering with gas stoves and BBQ facilities. Purified drinking water is available. Feel free to pick fresh herbs from our garden to enhance your meals! * Nature: Being in a natural environment, you may encounter bugs and fireflies, which add to the jungle charm. A torch is recommended for navigating at night. * Peaceful Stay: We typically host no more than 6 people at any one time to ensure a peaceful and relaxing stay. * Safety: Your container has a lockable door for security, and a first aid kit is located in the communal area. * Getting Around: We are located 5km from Jinja and 3km from Bujagali. We can help organize local transportation if needed. * Recycling: We actively recycle all our waste – please use the provided bins. * Campfire: Gather around the communal campfire every night to share stories and enjoy the evening.
