Walker (peaceful glamping on 220 private acres)
Walker (peaceful glamping on 220 private acres)
Description
Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable escape! Just 90 minutes from either Portland or Seattle, this cozy glamping site is located on 220 secluded acres of private wilderness along the Chehalis River. Sleep in a cozy queen-size bed! There's propane heat, power, WIFI, and a lovely stone firepit. Come relax, hike, and explore! The space Your living and sleeping space is a 8' x 12' canvas walled tent on a solid wooden floor. The tent features a queen-size bed, some shelves and storage blocks, plus a camp toilet with supplies. Outside the tent there's a pop-up shade covering a picnic table with benches, and out front you'll find a stone fire ring and bundles of wood for purchase. There are also two sturdy Adirondack chairs out front. Beyond that, you have 220 acres of forest, field, and river to explore! **Please read the other details below carefully before you book to make sure you're comfortable with our policies on hunting, fishing, gathering, firearms, and respecting both the wildlife and any other guests you may encounter. Guest access This wilderness campsite is located down a 2-mile gravel logging road which is steep and bumpy in a few places! Four-wheel drive is recommended in the wettest part of the winter, and please drive carefully any time of the year in whatever vehicle you bring. As a guest, you are free to access any part of the 220-acre property except other campsites (there is currently only one). Other things to note This listing is located on The Riverbend Preserve, a private nature park, so there is no hunting, fishing, or foraging. Please do not discharge any firearms during your stay. The forest to the west of the Preserve is Washington State land, and on occasion locals go up into the hills to target shoot. In the unlikely event that this happens during your stay, don't be alarmed; the British are *not* coming. I'm sorry that there's nothing I can do to mitigate this noisy nuisance! My only comfort is that it's infrequent. If you use AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, US Cellular, or most major carriers you can expect good cell service. Single use or small cellular carriers may have intermittent signal or no signal at all after you leave the City of Chehalis behind. Most important of all, relax and enjoy your stay in this incredibly peaceful and secluded valley. Take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but footprints!
