Lovely old updated farmhouse surrounded by the community cow pasture. Located right on Rt 2 in Richmond, PE. This is the perfect homebase for exploring the magical island of PEI. With a coffee shop, the Richmond Dairy Bar and a gas station less than a mile down the road, everything you need is handy! 40 minutes from the bridge, 12 minutes west of Summerside, 35 minutes to Cavendish and 55 minutes to Charlottetown. Easy access to the bike trail and a 15 minute drive to quaint Harmony Beach. The space The house is set far enough back from the road to feel off the beaten path and has all the comforts of home. It has all the modern amenities you need (and none of the ones you don't!). The house sleeps eight comfortably - with a double bed in the downstairs bedroom; four bedrooms upstairs - two with doubles, two with twins. In addition there is a queen sized futon in the living room and a twin bed in the upstairs hallway. There is one full bath. Rustic (but clean!) this house is the perfect escape from your busy life, inviting you to slow down and embrace "island time". The island long bike trail runs directly behind the community pasture. You can access it from Camp Rd., right beside our neighbor's house. With amenities like high speed internet, a washer/dryer, and a wireless speaker for your phone/computer you have all the conveniences you need. The absence of a TV is an invitation to detach and truly relax. Spend some time hunting for the bull amongst the cows! Our house is perfect for families, friends and laughter, simple joys and quiet moments. Come and play, read, relax, bike, swim, explore this magical island or just sit and enjoy the peacefulness of our home. Guest access Guests have full access to the whole property. Families with toddlers or any mobility issues will find some challenges. As you enter you must go up three stairs. The stairway to the second floor can be challenging for some. Other things to note One week minimum required for booking. Check-in Monday after 4pm. Check-out Sunday by 4pm.
