A 1970s teal VW bus sits in the yard — fully restored, and yours to climb in and photograph. Inside: a Ms. Pac-Man arcade cabinet, NES, PlayStation, and a drawer full of classic DVDs. Out back: a fire pit ringed with benches, a string-lit deck, and a wooded ravine that makes the whole place feel like it's miles from anywhere. Single-level, no stairs. Sleeps 6. 25 minutes to downtown Louisville, the Expo Center, and Churchill Downs — straight down I-71 Come for a wedding. Stay for the bus. The space Three bedrooms, two full baths, all on one level — no stairs anywhere, which guests with older parents and small kids tell us matters. The kitchen has butcher block counters and everything you need to actually cook. Washer and dryer in unit. Off the kitchen, a little game room with a Ms. Pac-Man arcade cabinet and a stack of board games. The back deck faces a wooded ravine and gets sun all morning — several guests say it's their favorite part of the stay. String lights overhead, fire pit and seating, dining table for six. Guest access The entire house, the deck, the fire pit, the backyard, and yes — the VW bus. Climb in, take pictures. Self check-in with a smart lock. Free parking on the gravel drive, room for several cars. Other things to note The house sits on a main road. You'll hear some traffic, especially weekday mornings. We provide white noise machines in every bedroom and most guests sleep fine — but we'd rather tell you now than have you find out at 6am. November through mid-January the house is fully decorated for the holidays — Christmas trees, wreaths, and lights throughout. Guests have compared it to a Hallmark movie set. Pest control services the property on a regular schedule.
