Ground floor bedroom with Zip-link bed which can be made up as a king or set of twins and an en-suite with shower, tucked away from the main living areas, and providing self-contained sleeping accommodation ideal for less mobile members of your party allowing level access into the en-suite. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout this cottage for use with your own smart phone, tablet or laptop; and travel cot and high chair. UPSTAIRS Spacious, bright landing. Stunning master bedroom suite with a spacious en-suite shower room and a 12 foot high floor-to-ceiling window with great views. Three further large double bedrooms, two with zip-link beds that can be made up as kings or twins if preferred. All have exquisitely restored original beams with private views towards the burn. Large family bathroom with bath and separate enclosed shower room. OUTSIDE Large front and rear gardens with private rear patio area housing John Lewis anthracite table and chairs to seat 10 guests. Free access to the communal tennis court. GROCERIES AND PETROL The nearest service station is in Thropton (4 miles away). It has EV chargers, petrol, diesel and a large convenience store. From Burnfoot head towards Rothbury and turn right at the junction next to the Cross Keys public house. Go over the bridge and it’s on your right, at the end of Thropton village. Our local shops in Rothbury (Co-op, bakery, butcher’s, delicatessen, ironmongers, pharmacy, as well as several cafes, restaurants and pubs) can provide everything you need but if you would prefer to have food delivered by a supermarket we believe Sainsburys, Asda and Tesco are the only online grocers that deliver to Burnfoot free of charge. In Alnwick you can find M&S Foodhall, Sainsburys, Morrisons, Aldi and Lidl. Guest access There are two designated parking spaces for the sole use of Cheviot View Guests and extra parking in front of the tennis court. Our guests can access the whole of the property except one locked storage cupboard on each level. There is a clearly labelled fenced off and covered area in the rear garden housing the original water source which turned Lord Armstrong’s turbine (a replica of which is now on display at Cragside Estate). There is strictly no access to this area. Other things to note We are dog friendly-up to two, well behaved -downstairs only please and there is certainly plenty of outdoor garden space for them to explore. To be fair to future guests please remember to clean up after your dog.
