Leaning Tree Woods

Unplug and unwind in this remote camping spot in the woods. Great for bird watchers, artists looking for inspiration, or just relaxing in the quiet listening to the wind rustling through the trees. Wildlife you might see or hear: raccoons, opossums, armadillos, fox, deer, owls, and coyotes, but NO bears. Public access to Grand Lake O' the Cherokees is less than two miles away for those who like to fish, kayak, or swim. Pet friendly. Dogs welcome to be off leash. The space The tent is 10X12 with a queen size bed. Towels are provided. Bedding available upon request. Firewood provided on the honor system. A dome tent is available if you need extra room. There is also an air mattress under the bed. The fire pit has a grill or you can use the small charcoal grill on the picnic table. Iced drinking water is provided. Other things to note There is a hiking trail that guests are welcome to try. It takes about 45 minutes to complete the circle. A map of how the trail goes is inside the tent.
