While they will never say anything to you about tips, it is customary for staff to receive a gratuity on the day of your departure. While tipping is voluntary, it is an important Mexican custom which supplements staff income based on quality of service. In addition to the obvious monetary value, tipping means a great deal to the staff in terms of knowing that their services are appreciated. You can aggregate tips for all guests and give to houseman for staff distribution or tip individually should you wish. Suggested minimum tipping guidelines are as follows (US$): 10% of rental costs or $15 - $30 per day per person would allow for a suitable gratuity for all staff – you may of course tip staff members individually if you like or for special tasks or services. Guest access Guests have the privacy of this ocean front villa to themselves. Other things to note All staff services are included in the price - a 10% staff gratuity is mandatory and included in your rate. If you wish to tip additionally cash should be given to staff upon departure - houseman will accept and split it or you can put in individual envelopes for staff on departure.
