The Evergreen is a cozy, modern 4-season log home with 2 bedrooms & an office. This family home boasts open-concept living and a tranquil 2.5-acre private yard with a hot tub! Fire pit, above-ground pool, BBQ and screened-in gazebo open seasonally. The Evergreen is a safe, inclusive space where everyone is welcome! This is an older home, not a hotel; we love its imperfections and we hope you do too! Firewood not included, BBQ unavailable in winter months. Our pool reopens in late spring 2025. This means that there are bugs outside that sometimes get inside. If you have any insect phobias please consider before booking. There is also lots of wildlife around (bunnies, birds, feral cats and wandering neighbourly dogs), please do not feed or interact with the animals. Our above-ground pool will be open seasonally, from approximately mid-June until early September. Please bring your beach towels! Please note the indoor fireplace is not available for guest use. As a result of environmental pressures, well-water levels can be low in the summertime — we ask guests to be mindful of water use ie. no extra long showers, running taps or excessive flushing (every toilet flush is 17L of water). Our tap water is treated and drinkable, but after lots of rain can have a sulphur smell; please bring drinking water if preferred. While we have central air, during summertime the A/C has difficulty reaching the bedrooms upstairs. We have provided fans to best accommodate but it can be warm in those areas. Please consider this before booking. While this is not a hotel, it is a well-loved home with lots of character and personality. We appreciate its imperfections and we hope you do too!
