Description
We are in a secluded location sitting on 60+ acres and run on solar power. We are about 30 minutes to downtown Bangor. The barn is an attached structure to our main dwelling. The barn has wood heat, propane wall heaters as backup, and sleeps six people comfortably. Big sky, views with hills and fields. We also welcome snowmobiles, with snowmobiles trails (ITS 83 and 84) passing through our property. The space The barn is attached to our main house, it has an open concept with a king size bed upstairs on the 2nd floor along with a loft living room with a view and a futon couch/bed. There's a bedroom off the dining room area with a queen bed. The living room also has a pull out queen sofa bed. Dining/kitchen room has a TV, radio, kitchenette and a mini refrigerator, games, books and a piano. We run on a solar system and batteries with all the comforts of home. There is a French press or a percolator coffee maker, due to being on solar, normal coffee makers do not work. We run a small generator when needed. Guest access You have access the the barn described above, the game room/shop, that is attached to the barn, and have access to the outdoors area. The game room/shop is a three season space and is not heated, feel free to play pool if you would like. Private walking trails through the woods on our property available after May 15th. The wrap around porch is shared space and has a really nice view. Other things to note GPS and Smart Phones do not find us, please use the directions provided to you after booking, they also can be found in the arrival guide. You will be responsible for keeping the woodstoves going during your stay, wood is provided for you in the wood box. There is a propane wall heater in living room and one up in 2nd floor bedroom as backup heat. We will have it warm for your arrival. Enter and exit dirt road slowly in respect of our neighbors. People use the road for walking, please drive slow. During the Winter, the road is used for snowmobile access, be aware. During the winter months and mud season, 4 Wheel Drive is recommended. The pond is off limits. We run on solar power and will run a generator when necessary.
