Between sky and sea, overlooking the magnificent St. Lawrence River, L'Hypnotik allows you to enjoy the best of Charlevoix. The space Chalet L'Hypnotik is, among other things: ☕️Enjoying the tranquility, hidden in the woods, with a small fire to warm up, or simply relaxing in the sauna; 🏖Being 5 minutes from Saint-Irénée Beach and Domaine Forget🎭🎼; 🎿Mont Grand-Fonds is 30 minutes away, for downhill skiing, cross country skiing and snowshoeing enthusiasts, and Le Massif de Charlevoix is 40 minutes away. Guest access In complete privacy given our vast property located in the mountains, travelers can enjoy the area to walk in the woods, and discover the fauna and flora that the forest is home to. As for the cottage, guests have access to the entire ground floor, where the living area is located with magnificent views of the St. Lawrence River. Beware of the most daring, the clumsy or the eccentric, L'Hypnotik allows you to enjoy the horizon because it is perched on a steep terrain. When outside, it is therefore better to avoid walking near the edge of the land, on the east side. In the same way, guests with mobility difficulties will prefer to travel by car to get from the cottage to the main road, this road being like many in the area, very characteristic of our dear mountainous Charlevois region! Other things to note In winter, Mother Nature in Charlevoix can play tricks on you, and make it more difficult to get off the road connecting the cottage to the municipal road. Owners of 4-wheel drive vehicles will have no problem, but for regular vehicles, you may want to park on the main road instead. In these cases, guests can use a sled to transport their belongings from the car to the cottage. Winter conditions being what they are in a mountainous and snowy area like the one where L'Hypnotik is located, if guests have difficulty climbing the slope to get off the road, they can use the auxiliary traction system (traction aid) or the tire chains that the hosts leave at their disposal in the bin near the garage. For guests whose arrival at the cottage is in the dark, please note that the Saint-Irénée area where L'Hypnotik is located is not urban. This is among other things what makes the place so charming, free of light pollution and naturally lit by the moon and stars! Your car headlights will then be your only source of light to illuminate the (sloping) path leading to the cottage. From spring until around September, Quebec sees the reappearance of our beloved mosquitoes and black flies. We therefore advise you to bring your mosquito repellent to enjoy the outdoors and be less prone to bites, for those who attract these little insects more. Guests can relax by a campfire (outdoor) using the logs provided free of charge by the hosts. For the indoor fireplace, however, it is important to note that wood is not included in the living expenses. The hosts still leave a few logs available for guests to enjoy a first fire following their arrival. For those who wish to purchase, following their arrival at the cottage, easy-to-use and environmentally friendly ecological logs, you can purchase them in several big box stores, hardware stores and even convenience stores in Baie-St-Paul and La Malbaie. * Dogs are welcome, subject to additional fees.
