Quiet, comfy, near Airport & water

This unique place has a style all its own. The space There is a mini kitchen: microwave, 2 burner stove, toaster oven, sink, refrigerator, dishes. There is a great room with table & chairs. One shared bathroom with shower (no tub) & 3 bedrooms. Guest access You will have shared access to great room, shared bathroom and exclusive use of your bedroom. During your stay Host may be available upon request. Other things to note Parking: Parking is parallel to the road in front of the house. Please do not block or park in the driveway and try to leave enough room for 3 vehicles in front of the house. It’s ok to park in front of the stone walkway if necessary. Rental: Rental section is the downstairs section of this home. Rental entrance is at the back of the home which is accessible from the left side of the home. Walk through the iron framed entrance (lit up at night) and across the lawn to the left of the walkway. You will see a stone path through the flowers to a second iron framed entrance but this one has a door. Door is loosely secured with a cotter pin on the left side (has a fabric long loop attached to the pin). Open the door. Please close the door after you to keep critters out (neighborhood has lots of rabbits that we do not want in the back yard). Walk down the path, down a short flights of stairs to the back patio. Walkway is lit up at night. Entrance: Keyed entrance is the large patio door on the left. Key is secured permanently in the “master lock” to the left of the patio door. CODE: Will be given at least a day in advance. Please return the key back to the master lock box every time. Please for your security, lock the patio door from the inside once you are inside. Please also scramble lock combo after getting key each time! Bedrooms: There are 3 bedrooms on this level, one bath, mini kitchen, washer and drier, living and dining area. Your bedroom is: one of the following: Bedroom on the right (green room) Bedroom to left Bedroom straight on All windows have shades that can be drawn for privacy. All bedrooms have closets, queen beds & locking doors. Kitchen: Feel free to use the kitchen, dishes, and cooking appliances. There are two hot plates, microwave, coffee pot and toaster oven. Please clean up after yourself. Please do not leave dirty dishes in the sink. Please do not eat other people’s food. Cabinets above the kitchen counter can be used for your own kitchen supplies. W/D Washer and drier may be used. Must provide own detergent. Please do not overload washer and please empty the lint trap on the drier after each use. Bathroom: Clean towels and sheets should be in your bedroom already. Please make sure shower water is fully turned off when you’re done. Please rinse the shower floor after you’re done and remove excess hair etc. What to bring: -Rain gear! Just in case! -flip flops or alternate indoor exclusive shoes. We appreciate folks leave their street shoes at the entrance to the rental. We have some extra indoor shoes if you forgot them. Questions? Please contact us with any questions you might have. There is no Wifi yet. There are no TV’s. Get out and enjoy the area instead! It’s a great walking neighborhood and an easy drive to almost anywhere. Local activities: Seahurst Park is very near. You could walk or drive and get to the Puget Sound with possible spectacular views of the Olympic Mountains if it’s a clear day or a rather brisk swim! Old Burien is also near (mile walk or quick drive). It has a TH Farmer’s Market, library with free Wifi, shops, several grocery stores and many fine restaurants. Restaurant suggestions: Nearby (can walk to): Trattoria, Pigfish Cafe (funky and fun), Marlaina’s Mediterranean (awesome lamb shank), Starbucks, many Mexican. Exit: Please tidy up your room before you leave. Do not leave wet towels in a pile to get mildew. Please hang them on a hanger in the closet to dry instead. Please lock the sliding glass door when leaving (scramble lock code!) and the iron door. Thanks for staying with us.
