The room is located inside our carefully restored old house. We invite you to live a unique experience in a cozy and artistic atmosphere. Your Refuge in Quito: Charming room: Enjoy a private room with an interior bathroom, decorated with Ecuadorian artwork, equipped with all the amenities you need for a pleasant stay and with a very comfortable workspace. Amenities: As far as your comfort is concerned, you can enjoy a comfortable bed with carefully selected white cotton garments for a good night's sleep. You will also receive a towel for your personal use, as well as cleaning supplies such as soap and shampoo in your bathroom. Friendly community: Become part of our community, meet interesting people, and share unforgettable moments with other travelers. Shared kitchen: You have a large, well-equipped kitchen at your disposal where you can prepare your own meals using fresh ingredients from the Santa Clara market. Privileged location: Explore the city easily thanks to our strategic location. At the door you will find public transportation to any point in the city, restaurants for all kinds of preferences, shops and tourist attractions. We offer you the opportunity to enjoy a variety of options in the sector according to your interests. Guest access Your home away from home Mio Homestay is located in a restored house in downtown Quito, it is a corner in the middle of one of the busiest areas. We created this space to make you feel like you're disappearing in the middle of the city. Thus, we offer you a comfortable corner, with ample spaces and a quiet atmosphere that you can call home. And at the same time, find yourself close to everything. It is a space shared with other people who, like you, will be traveling, working or enjoying the capital. Among nationals and foreigners we create a fraternal, multicultural and free from discrimination environment. Simple and secure access: We are located on Av. 6 de Diciembre and Colón, next to KFC. The house is a two-story light brown house and the entrance is through a gray metal door. As a reference point, you will see graffiti on the entrance wall with a macaw and Cotopaxi (an Ecuadorian snow-capped mountain). If you are already at the gray gate, you will see a plain area on your right side, where you must enter the entry code, which will be sent to you via a message on the day of your reservation. Room access: Once inside the property, you'll see some steps that you must climb to the second floor. There, you'll find a glass door, you must go through it, cross the hallway that will be in front of you. Then, go right to the end and turn right again. There you will find the room marked with the number 2 and on the door you will find the entrance key. Please turn the key carefully, there is usually a trick to opening the door. The bathroom is private and will be located in front of the room, marked with the number 2 and the bathroom sign on it. Also, next to the door you'll find a picture with the house rules, the Wi-Fi with its password, and a QR code to connect to it. Please remember that during your stay the room and bathroom are exclusively for your use. So, take your key with you and lock the door before you leave. Access to Social Areas Don't be shy, explore the shared social areas. Return to the entrance hall and go to the left, where you will find a living room with a comfortable brown armchair for reading a book. On the left side, you have a glass door that will take you to a cozy Barcelona patio where you can do yoga or get some air. Once there, you'll see some stairs to the third floor, where you'll find a large, well-lit kitchen with natural ventilation accompanied by a work area and dining room. As frequent travelers, we understand how important it is to feel at home when you're away. We'll be available to help you with anything you need and share our local recommendations with you. Free integrations: On holidays or once a month we usually organize a free integration activity, where we can all get to know each other better and forge a different community. Art experience: We like art, and we are happy to offer you activities in your room so you can have fun and learn about our multidiverse country. Drinks: If you need a glass of wine, a beer, or a delicious Ecuadorian chocolate after your long day, we have it. Just ask! Traditional food culinary experience. Have you ever arrived in a different city, wanted to try its traditional food, but when choosing the dish you didn't know if you were going to like the taste? We offer a culinary experience with traditional Ecuadorian flavors where you can try a little bit of everything in small quantities and we'll explain their origin. Regarding shared spaces, we explain: Our space has a large shared kitchen, it has all the necessary utensils to prepare a delicious traditional Ecuadorian dish, an elaborate dish or a simple breakfast. We also offer a large shared dining area with good Wi-Fi, where you can work or eat. It's a well-lit space with good ventilation and perfectly designed to make you feel comfortable and inspired. We know laundry is important to our guests. So we have a laundry area with two washing machines and a space to hang clothes. You can do this yourself or you can request that we do it for you, for an additional fee. Additional things to know Cleaning is regular in shared areas and common spaces. If you need us to help you with an additional deep cleaning in the space you are in, we will do it for you. Genesis and Jorge are the people in charge of cleaning, they are there attentive to any need you have and always at your service. If you need extra towels, toilet paper or any additional requirements, they are always ready to help. Finally, we're a team of 4 people at your service. Our schedules vary and we have different tastes. Josue likes urban art, food, and good music. Joany and Alexis like long walks in the city and I love the mountains, sports, and good books. If we work around your schedule, we'll always have something to talk about.
