Hawk's Nest (Sleeps 8) is a newer vacation rental situated alongside a rustic river lodge, nestled in the trees overlooking the Meramec River bottoms, and is only 1.7 miles from downtown Steelville, Missouri. This is a nature-inspired setting that is truly situated in the trees of the Ozarks. We are pet friendly but do charge a pet fee of $50 per stay. We have added free WiFi for our guests who might want to have a working vacation. A four minute walk will put you at the our river access. The space Hawks Nest is a vacation getaway in a lodge setting resting above the banks of the Meramec River Bottoms. This guest house has three bedrooms that include a queen size bed in each room. The sofa in the living area is a sleeper, so the unit can fit 8 guests in total. Hawk's Nest has one full size bathroom located in a central location of the house. Two of the bedrooms share a deck that is snuggled high up in the trees overlooking the Meramec River bottoms. There is a third deck located off the front entrance to the unit. Hawks Nest features a fully supplied kitchen with a refrigerator, microwave, electric cook stove, sink, coffee maker, toaster, plates, glasses, all utensils, pots and pans. Guests can relax on one of the decks attached to this unit after a long day floating on the river, cook a full meal in our modern kitchen or on the provided charcoal BBQ grill, then settle down for the night on a big luxurious comfortable queen size bed to the soothing sounds of nature. Ask about handicap accessibility. Guest access We encourage exploring the natural wonders of the Meramec River and the bottoms below the Lodge. Just please be conscientious of nature and any other guests. No 4x4s, loud music, and please pick up after yourself (no trash is good trash). Other things to note There may be firewood on the premise, we just ask for $5.00 per armload. Hawk's Nest has access to a fire kettle on the front deck, as well as a small charcoal grill for BBQs. Please notify us if you are bringing a pet. There is a $50 pet fee per stay. We do not provide charcoal or lighter fluid.
