The space ____________________________ LA PARENTHESE DE MARRAKESH ______________________________ ______________________________ Valérie and her team welcome you for your stay in the southwest of Marrakech (which is located 20 km from our home), in the village of Tameslohte. This charming house is a timeless place that adapts to the dreams of travelers, an authentic elsewhere with bohemian accents, which you will only leave by planning to return. At the gates of the Agafay Desert, with a 360° view of the surrounding countryside and the dizzying Atlas Mountains, La Parenthèse de Marrakech opens its doors between tamed gardens and arid lands. Two sheepdogs guard the estate with a couple of donkeys, and a colony of wild birds inspect the premises morning and evening, passing by the swimming pool and its Pool House facing it. A carpet of greenery spreads around the pool (20 x 6) set between the restaurant and the house, while all around comes to life a natural vegetation of oleanders, bouquets of reeds, olive trees, fig trees, lemon trees and cacti. Our Restaurant is a place full of light and conviviality open to the garden & its living spaces. So at all hours, everyone comes and goes around our long counter to order a drink or share simple chatter... We select music that we let flow peacefully or that we make resonate to the far, we share a gourmet dish or the laughter of a game of cards, you will have understood this is undoubtedly the heart of Your Parenthèse!!! ____________________ Description of the rooms ______________________ Behind heavy African wooden doors, a warm scent of amber and musk floats in each room under the soft shimmer of candles illuminating all your evenings to perfect everyone's well-being. Each room is equipped with a sleeping area, a sitting area and a bathroom. (Except Hippie Hut) They are all dressed and decorated with natural materials. As for the walls, they were erected in rammed earth to ensure good thermal and acoustic quality. The artisans who work these traditional ancestral plasters like to remind us that a night between these walls gives twice the rest acquired in a simple concrete construction Premium bedding – King size bed (2 m x 2 m). Hypoallergenic duvet and pillows. Friendly space arranged around a table and comfortable seating. Toilet and private bathroom with towels, shower gel, shampoo (for your arrival only) and hairdryer. Note: Two cots are available. A first one for a baby and a second for a young child up to 4 years old. Two double bedrooms around the Riad: ____________________________________ - The KAOLIN Room (30 m2) - 2 People It takes its name from the white pigment adorning the long African mask that decorates it. Its walls are powdered white and only at the head of the bed, the shade of a Moroccan tent is tinted sand color. The bathroom is coated with tadelakt with the natural tones of the stone that are given to it by the lime. A long, comfortable bench stretches from the toilet to the shower curtain. - The YVOIRE Room (30 m2) - 2 People Its name was inspired by the painting of a pachyderm bought during an expedition to Essaouira. Like its gleaming defenses, everything is available in white, ivory and ocher, from the bed adorned with a large white tulle mosquito net, to the living room area and the shower nestled like a cave at the bottom of the bathroom. - The CACTUS Room (34 m2) - 2 People It stands between the alley of prickly pears and agaves. Between Pool and Cactus... In the heart of the room, a concrete screen hides the hammam area and its open shower. On the other side, rough wooden logs outline the head of the bed. The space is softened at will by linen blinds on the cactus side and interior wooden shutters in Berber fashion on the prickly pear side. - The LOVE Room (40 m2) - 2 People It was spontaneously named after the huge metal sculpture found in Marrakech that rises on its walls. We enter the space through a private terrace, facing the garden and the pool. The huge bed is a sign of its excess, elongated by the two palm trunks that rise from the foot of the bed to the ceiling of wooden logs. In the background, two metal shields let out a soft light at night. On the other side of the long wall of the bedroom, there is a baroque-inspired bathroom and a living room. - The DOURIA (90 m2) - 4 People Originally the site of a sheepfold, this space was naturally rehabilitated as a small rural house, hence its Arabic name of "Douiria". Behind a first heavy door, an open-air entrance displays its African colors while a second door opens onto the house; a first living room is organized around a tin Berber tray placed like a table. Further on, a row of wooden boxes intertwines up to a second space consisting of a living room arranged around a fireplace and two sofas. On the other side, a long oak table completes the intimacy of the room, like an invitation to a game of cards or an aspiration to draw. To the right and left, the two bedrooms of this Douiria are hidden >>> The VANILLA Room whose walls are tinted with a gourmet vanilla inspiration, enhanced with chocolate notes. >>> The ZEBRA Room Opposite the door, a zebra painting from Mohammedia sits on the wall. It ranges from bright gray to the deep gray of its huge bathtub. - The HIPPIE Room (50 m2) The favorite of our residents in the bohemian chic spirit, this annex-cabin has a dry toilet and a shower nearby. - The BOHEMIAN (70 m2) The latest addition that can accommodate up to 8 guests ///////////// Leisure ////////////// - Pool area 20 m x 6 m, depth 1.55 m - Petanque court - Ping Pong - Walk between the Desert and surrounding farms or to the village to discover the typical Friday market, visit a local farm or the workshop of a potter. - Books, comics and board games - Wi-Fi area, TV lounge with DVD player, a thousand movies at your disposal - Sound equipment with jack socket for your evenings - - Visit the glass painting workshops of Dorine, or the Artisanal area of Tameslohte to buy a carpet. - Quad, Buggy, Camel ride in the countryside with an improvised Berber aperitif break on a thick carpet in the middle of nowhere, like the caravanserai era. - At La Parenthèse: - Argan Oil Massage €40 (2 hours minimum) - - Folklore Program: Oriental dancer, fire-breather, acrobats, Gnawas group /////////////////// Catering ///////////////////// Kitchen and equipment are not included in the list of amenities made available because we offer a catering service available 7 days a week on request (minimum 24 hours in advance): --- Breakfast from 10 euros/person/day --- Lunch from 25 euros/pers/day --- Dinner from 30 euros/person/day (All packages are drinks not included) Our team will select the best products on the market every day to delight you with our Moroccan recipes and other nomadic flavors... /////////////// Practical side ///////////////// Shuttles to the airport, Marrakech city center or any other destination are available with our taxi partners and other shuttles or car rentals Guest access ___________________________ House Rules ___________________________ In order to comply with the requirements of local laws regarding couples, it is strictly forbidden to invite Moroccan nationals into the property, in fact you should know that only marriage contracts offer the right to share the same roof with them. We will therefore ask for all the necessary supporting documents in the event that some of you are from Morocco, otherwise we will not be able to accommodate you. Also, although the property is 1.5 ha and in the middle of the Marrakech countryside, we do have neighbors nearby. Also, during your stay, we will ask you to make sure to keep the noise at a reasonable level, especially after a certain time. As for musical events and various parties, we will take care of local authorizations on your behalf as soon as you book your stay... If you want a cleaning service (hotel type) throughout your stay, it is possible to include it at an additional cost of 40 euro/day. Our internet connection is generally quite good, however, as we are in the middle of nature, sometimes the speed becomes a little slower, thank you in advance for your understanding for this parameter which is totally beyond our control. In addition, you can have many services such as airport/station transfers, Hammam, massages, swimming pool, catering, cleaning during your stay, excursions (Ourika Valley, Essaouira, quad, camels...), tourist guides, vehicle rental...
