This cute cabin has everything that you'll need to relax away from the city - two hammocks, a fire pit, and a great front porch. In the summer months, it offers hiking, canoeing, zip-lining, and paddling down the Delaware River with its many swimming holes. In autumn, you'll find foliage, a farmers' market, and quaint nearby towns like Narrowsburg and Calicoon. Finally, winter months are great for skiing (cross-country and downhill), sledding, or just curling up with a book by the woodstove. The space As Peace Corps volunteers in Ukraine, we quickly learned that "dacha" means, "cottage" or "summer cabin," the place people go to unwind with family and friends. And so, the interior of our cabin boasts amazing and unique woodwork in every room. It has two small bedrooms (both of which sleep 1-2) and a large master. The living room has great light, high ceilings, and art authentic to the Catskills' borscht belt origins. The sitting room, with an open floor-plan linking it to the kitchen and dining room, is a great gathering space for chatting, drinking, and game playing. If we're inside, however, we spend most of our time gathered around the woodstove or enjoying happy hour on the porch. We recently have added Wifi in case people would like to work while staying at the Dacha during the pandemic. We still really recommend unplugging and enjoying your time together. Guest access We actively use the cabin and so you'll see our presence there - precious artwork we've collected in our travels, our favorite books, games we play with our children. Dressers and cabinet shelves are open for guest use. We are happy to share this space with others; it is cozy and well put together. We hope you'll love it as much as we do.
