17th century castle wing

Welcome to the south wing of Ekholmen Castle, which was built in 1632. Here you can sit out on the terrace and enjoy nature and your company. Adjacent to the property is a large English garden. The 150 square meter apartment is on the ground floor with your own entrance right out into the garden. The apartment above is empty, so you live in the house yourself. If you think farming is fun, the farm is 100 meters away and there is always the opportunity to help us feed the cows. The space The apartment has been renovated and there is a fully equipped kitchen with a kitchen island. There is also a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, oven/stove and microwave. Adjacent to the kitchen is the dining room. Here everyone gets a place to sit and eat good dinners under the vaulted ceiling. Two of the bedrooms are in the corner of the apartment while the third is in line and you have to pass it to get to the others. In addition to bedrooms, there is another hall with a workplace. The TV room has a fireplace and here you can relax in front of the TV or use it as an extra bedroom as it is a sofa bed. If you are coming with small children, we have both a high chair and a cot, just let us know and we will set them up. The house has been renovated to try to keep some of the old design. And traces of previous paintings remain as small squares to show how it looked before. There is also a mix of wood and stone floors. All stone floors are heated when it's cold outside. This is a house with a lot of history, so let me know if you want to know more. Guest access You have access to parking spaces next to the house. On the south side of the wing there is a garden where you can have a picnic on a blanket or play football if you wish. That garden is at your disposal to use as you wish. Other things to note The wing is located on a farm that is an active farm, so the business is in full swing all year round. This can mean noise, even at night during the harvest period. The animals on the farm also make noise sometimes. But if you are sensitive to noise, there are earplugs in the survival kit in the bathroom. That way we will help as best we can. There is also a farm dog who is very friendly but who may come to visit. So if you are afraid of dogs, this may not be the accommodation for you. The garden is not fenced but large, so there is plenty of room to move around. It´s okey to smoke outside, use the ashtrey provided. It is not allowed to light fires in the fireplaces, but there are candles that can be lit to add to the atmosphere. The closest food store in located in Grillby 15 km away. A bigger supermarket is located in Enköping 25 km away.
