Private Studio with everything you need overlooking the Embudo Valley. Quiet farm property 45 minutes from Los Alamos, 1 hour from Santa Fe and 30 minutes from Taos and Sipapu Ski Resort in a tiny organic farming and artist community of Dixon. You can walk to Zulys Cafe or Dixon Coop Market. and Cafe. 4 wineries and a Brewery are within 3 miles of the house. This part of the property is still being developed. some parts of house you walk by are still under construction. The space This is a studio. 1 room that has everything in it. Bed, Kitchenette, a place to prop your feet up and enjoy the best views in Dixon. It has been designed not to feel that way. Enter thru your own private entrance and come and go as you please. It is a working farm, so the parking areas may not always be pretty, but once you get to your space with amazing views, fantastic deck, it will be well worth it. Inside there are several steps so not recommended for elderly or post knee surgery, but its pretty comfortable and easy to get around. Inside there are 2. Steps to get to the kitchenette area, 1 more step to the tub room. The tub room was carefully designed with custom poured walls. The electric fireplace and morrocan lighting and natural skylight make taking a bath a relaxing treat with plenty of bath goodies. The new custom half bath has a marble back splash, custom solid wood doors and touches of comfort and elegance. . Please see the sister listing Million Star Studio and read the reviews to get an idea of who we are and how special this property is. and PLEASE give us some grace on entrance. we are working farm but tired of not having a place for repeat guests so we are finishing this new space for guests and their families. Guest access This part of property is still being developed . we appreciate your patience as you will be walking thru some construction areas. This studio is accessed thru a private entrance at the back of the property between the separate garage and the main house. You may run into one of the owners or property managers or grounds crew outside. We do appreciate our own privacy and yours too, so every effort is made to give everyone space. This studio shares a wall with main house so you may occasionally hear someone but we don't rent out the space adjoining so we can make sure it stays reasonably quiet and also help guests will appreciate our peace too and not play thier music or TV up EXTRA LOUD . most people come to Dixon for peaceful, quiet time, so it's not usually a problem. if you like to crank your music up loud, this place is probably not your speed anyway. you may hear drums in the distance on Sundays. This valley is all farmers, and Sundays are everyone's day off. The Dixon Coop has open mike Afternoons and Blue Heron Brewery also has open mike twice a month so bring your musical instruments and play away. we love to hear music but not afte 9pm. Thanks. the kitchenette is small and outfitted with appliances that turn off automatically. A small oven and a bunch of other cooking appliances, so it is NOT a gourmet kitchen but works really well for making a quick and easy meal. The tub room is my favorite. An electric fireplace for ambiance and heat is in that room. The exposed ceiling joists are original New Mexican traditional wood ceilings. The light fixture is from Morroco. Great ambiance to soak in the tub and take your time and the Sky lights bring in a ton of light. The new bathroom has been artfully designed with a few luxury touches. This part of the property is still being g developed and finishing are still being worked on. The deck is my favorite spot on the property. It is the best place to watch the Golden light illuminate the Embudo Valley. Comfortable chairs and a few small tables to eat or have a beverage Other things to note Please be careful to conserve water. we are a small rural town on a town well. . There have been multiple hot water heaters installed on the property but we are still mountan spring fed and the incoming water temperature is very cold. During winter or spri g months the water heaters need additional time to hear water. Please conserve hot water and or wait for showers between guests.
