Cottage Päiväranta offers traditional Finnish holiday experiences in the heart of nature, just 10 km from the center of Jyväskylä. Sauna, swimming, rowing and fishing on the lake with your own rowboat, admiring the evening sun on the beach, cutting firewood, barbecuing, washing dishes by hand, throwing javelins... Enjoy simple chores and beautiful nature! Come and achieve an organic and relaxed rhythm of life! The cottage is a traditional summer cottage - the toilet is an outhouse and the water for washing comes from the lake with a pump. The space The cottage has good facilities for 4 people, but if necessary, 6 guests can stay. The cottage has one bedroom/alcove inside with two single beds that can be combined if needed. There is no door between the room and the cabin (see photos). There is a sofa bed where you can sleep 2 people. In addition, there is a heated, pretty sleeping fence with 2 single beds. Puucee (outdoor toilet) is attached to the warehouse. Nearest services: Keljonkeskus (Grocery store, Alko, self-service laundry, pharmacy, etc.) about 10 min drive. Guest access The entire cottage and yard protected by trees are available to the guest. The beach has its own rowing boat, which is free to use for the duration of the rental. The cottage is located about 15 minutes from the center of Jyväskylä, so you can also get there by taxi at a reasonable price (about 50-60 euros) if necessary. If you arrive by train, you can first go to the grocery store near the station (300m) and take a taxi from there. Our partner taxi ride can also be booked separately. Other things to note Washing water and dishwashing water come directly from the lake with an automatic pump. The washing water is heated in the water tank connected to the stove when the sauna is heated. At the beginning of the rental, there is a canister of Jyväskylä tap water in the kitchen. Drinking water can also be obtained from the well on the cottage plot. The cottage does not have a water toilet, but a traditional cottage toilet - a composting outdoor toilet, or a puucee. Do not make an open fire at the campfire site when a forest fire warning is in effect.
