Craigmore Cottage

Craigmore Cottage is situated just outside the town of Maghera, at the foot of the Sperrin Mountains. This traditional-style cottage is perfect for relaxing and offers an ideal base from which to visit Northern Ireland, with Derry City, Belfast and the Northern Coast all reachable in 45 minutes. The local village (a 10-min walk away) hosts a hotel, pubs, leisure centre, cinema and shops. For nature lovers, the Carntogher Heritage Trail and Drumnaph Nature Reserve are within a 5-minute drive. The space The Cottage is located in the Mid-Ulster area of Northern Ireland, and is convenient for day trips to Derry City, Belfast and the Northern Coast (all 45 minutes away). Along the coast, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery along the Causeway Coastal Drive, visit the beach at Portstewart Strand and view the unique landscape of the Giant's Causeway, for example. The Cottage is situated right next to the Carntogher area of Mid-Ulster, for lovers of walking, history and/or nature. The Carntogher Heritage Trail and Drumnaph Nature Reserve boast a number of beautiful walking trails and archaeological sites, and are within a 5-minute drive. "An Carn" also includes a lovely cafe and gift shop. Other nearby places to visit include the Maghera Walled Garden (a restored Victorian Garden in the town), Seamus Heaney's HomePlace (an exhibition dedicated to the life and work of one of Ireland's most famous writers) and Ballyronan Marina (for exploring Lough Neagh). Guest access Craigmore Cottage is self-catering, decorated in a traditional style and guests will have full use of the space. There are 3 double bedrooms (two upstairs, one downstairs), as well as a living room, den (with a sofa bed), kitchen, 3 bathrooms and a utility room. The living room has a stove for staying cozy on colder evenings (firewood available in the shed outside). There are board games and books available, and the downstairs bathroom has a freestanding bath, perfect for unwinding! Facilities for small children (a travel cot, a high chair) are available if required.
