This spacious three bedroom house has nice cooling air conditioning (as of 01 Oct 2025) for those hot summer nights and the wooden louvres are insect screened throughout. The house catches the lagoon breeze as it is so close to the water! One of the closet properties to the lagoon in Muri. Kokacabana is in the heart of Muri yet you wouldn't think so as this house is so private and situated 100 meters from the road front and is accessed by a long driveway well off the main road that finishes at the house and of course the beach !. There are so many places for sun bathing in privacy or stroll just metres along the beach to a 5 star resort that has lagoon front dining and infinity pool or walk further along to the many restaurants, cafes and water activities available only at Muri - it really is the only place to be and beach to be staying on in Rarotonga. The famous Muri Night Market is 400m from the end of the driveway and a must visit during your stay. The location at Muri is 5* and close to everything. Kokacabana was built and furnished with a genuine pacific island theme, a renowned local artists work is a big feature of the house and the attention to detail you can see in the finishing is something special. there are two dining options either inside or on the large deck that has a 5m dining table, BBQ, sun loungers and lots of comfy couches and of course expansive lagoon views. the deck is sheltered and a great place to read, relax and dwell on 'another day in paradise' When you are ready to wind up the day there are three bedrooms , the master with ensuite and a large main bathroom with shower and claw foot bath. We can cater to your individual requirements by splitting beds or providing extra beds, just ask us ! of course with a house this nice there is full linen supplied as well as towels and beach towels. There is a separate room with a washing machine, iron board and a clothes line outside. Cooking is a big passion in the Cook Islands and we are blessed with local fresh fruit and vegetables and the kitchen in Kokacabana has everything needed to whip up a 'island feast' with a dishwasher to clean up after. there is a large fridge freezer and six burner stainless steel stove. the breakfast bar in the kitchen opens out to the deck for outside dining. We provide UV filtered cold drinking water which you can easily replace for free at any of the water stations around the island. The 11m salt pool is in the centre of the section away from the house. While it is shared (with only two smaller properties) it is fully fenced, gated and with sun loungers. We have created a quiet private and peaceful space and the pool usually not used as most guests are busy exploring in the lagoon. In front of the deck of the house is another private space just for you with your own sun loungers, picnic table plus a private beach area all facing the lagoon It is no longer possible to replicate a house this close to the water. Adam Guest access The entire house! the house is over 200 sqm with a enormous lagoon facing deck looking straight to Taakoka Island (motu) and the lagoon. Kokacabana can not be seen from the road , is totally private with your own access on to the beach. The house is as close to the beach as you can possibly get, we have carefully planted on the beach line to ensure some privacy. there is your own beach area which is totally private and you have your own kayaks to use. there is a large 11m fenced salt pool situated away from the house that is also yours to use should you want a break from the lagoon ! over the last few years as Muri has increased in popularity new expensive resorts have opened and this is one of the last non resort houses left on the Muri Golden Mile. Kokacabana is so popular year round and is 500m walk to the now famous Muri Night Market as well as all the many other activities available at Muri. Our guests tell us they were so glad they stayed at Muri as everything is within walking distance. Kokacabana fills year in year out so be sure to secure your dates so not to miss out! There are two small steps to the front door and the same at the rear off the deck on the to the lawn. The property inside is spacious with wide hallway and large open areas. Parking is under the carport at the front entrance to the property. Upon booking we can provide easy directions to the house or book a transfer for you from the airport ($30 NZD pp payable to the driver) just mention upon booking. Other things to note We do not accept bookings with children under 13yrs of age without exception and a maximum of two children for this property. On arrival in to paradise we can arrange to have you transferred to the house from the airport or provide easy directions to the house should you drive from the airport in a hire car. just let us know !
