Description
Escape to our rustic cabin, it's perfect for relaxing after a day in King's Canyon National Park. You'll feel away from it all, but our driveway entrance is 12 minutes to the Hwy 180 entrance the park, 19 minutes to Grant Grove, 15 minutes to the local coffee shop and gas station, with more options nearby. * This is a rustic vintage cabin. * Unpaved access via dirt road * Winter conditions may impact reservations, please inquire. The space Enjoy our little red cabin on a private 1 acre parcel in the Sierra Foothills inside the Sequoia National Forest. Although the cabin is vintage and rustic, we have refurbished wall surfaces, floors, and added a collection of furnishings and appliances. It is a cozy escape and a great place to relax. The bathroom has a restored original cast iron tub, shower, and new floors and fixtures. You will want to unwind, but will have the option to check in on the world. We have 5g internet throughout the cabin, most cellphones have reception (we have Verizon) and the main room has a smart TV for streaming. You will need to use your own streaming account. The cabin has a refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, propane stove, drip coffeemaker, and filtered drinking water tap in sink. Due to fire safety guidelines, the cabin does not offer a barbecue or firepit. The Sierra Foothills and Sequoia National Forest are in an intense forest fire danger zone. These activities are unsafe for this area and not permitted. Upstairs loft bedroom access is via a built in staircase / ladder that is steeper than a normal staircase and is more of a heavy, built in ladder. Guest access Guests have access to the entire cabin. Enjoy! Guests do not have access to locked tool sheds on property. Other things to note You will be surrounded by Oak trees, Manzanita, a variety of conifer trees, and an acre of privacy. ** ACCESS** Access is down a 1/3 mile unpaved easement road that is rougher than an average fire road. During summer the driveway road is passable by most vehicles. However, during wet and snow weather this road can become unpassable by vehicle. In these winter snow circumstances we refund reservations or in some circumstances can allow intrepid guests to park at the top and hike in, depending on conditions. * Upstairs Loft Bedroom access is via a built in ladder staircase that is steeper than a traditional staircase and is more like a wooden heavy built in ladder.
