Triple Crown Suites, Apt 1

This charming and cozy Secretariat-themed suite is centrally located in historic downtown Paris, KY, surrounded by the world's most beautiful horse farms. Built in 1880, the original building was the General Store, this unit overlooks quaint Main Street. Secretariat Park is two blocks down, Claiborne Farm (where Secretariat was retired and is buried) is minutes away. The Hopewell Bake Exchange is downstairs, smells of fresh baked goods will fill the air, coffee shops and restaurants are nearby. The space Please note that you must be able to climb stairs. The historic building was renovated in 2019 with modern appliances, the original wood floors remain intact and have historic charm. My connection to Secretariat will be personalized in the space, sharing artwork and memorabilia from our 2023 Triple Crown Tour (50 year anniversary of the 1973 winning), and celebrating my fellow equine artists and their perseverance of excellence. Guest access The entire Triple Crown Suite Apartment #1 is yours. It is best to access the suite from the Main Street entrance, you may park on Main for free BUT BE CAREFUL to not be on Main Monday and Friday mornings 4am-6am during street sweeping. There is an alley entrance if needed, but the two parking spaces there are allocated to the bakery and the #2 monthly tenant. There is a free parking lot a few feet away at the Eiffel Tower across from the alley entrance on 8th and Main. NOTE: AGAIN, Please utilize that lot or off-Main parking Monday 4am-6am during street sweeping! I am told they DO enforce, which I assume means towing :( Both Main and alley entrance stairs converge on the upper floor and serve two upper units, each with a private access door. Yours is the Small Batch suite on the right. Other things to note The antiquity of the building is captivating. The stairs (21 in all) are somewhat narrow and steep with a hand rail. The two tall side windows in the kitchen/livingroom are inches from the neighboring business brick wall, but completely private and offer wonderful ambient light. Intriguing...what was the day-to-day in this General Store 140 years ago? There will be moderate street noise as expected, but Main Street is one-way and a rather slow pace. The bakery downstairs is a wonderful addition to Paris, owned by an enterprising young woman who is not afraid to work. You may hear them begin their day in the early morning but it will mostly go unnoticed.
