Set on a sprawling 100-acre property, offering the perfect balance of space and seclusion while providing easy access to local attractions, just 15 minutes from Jindabyne and 35 minutes from Thredbo and Perisher. The space Perched high in the hills that surround Lake Jindabyne, our property boasts panoramic views that stretch as far as Snowy Plain and its majestic, snow-capped peaks. At approximately 1150 meters elevation, our property often sees snowfall throughout winter and you might have the chance to witness this beautiful occurrence during your stay. Nature enthusiasts will delight in the abundance of wildlife that calls our property home, from native birds and curious kangaroos, to echidnas and wombats roaming the countryside. Our property is also home to a mob of Brumbies, once wild mountain horses, adding to the unique charm of the landscape. Whether you're seeking outdoor adventure or simply yearning for a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, our cabin offers an unforgettable retreat amidst nature's delight. Unwind on the deck and soak in the breathtaking beauty of the rural landscape, from stunning sunrises to mesmerizing sunsets that paint the sky in a kaleidoscope of colours. After dark, marvel at the stars overhead, unspoiled by city lights, or gather around the fire place for warmth and comfort. Experience sustainable living with advanced solar power, pristine water sourced from 120 metres deep in solid granite, and a modern composting toilet that redefines eco-luxury. Independently tested by ALS Laboratories, our water is completely free from chemicals — pure, untouched mountain water drawn straight from beneath the surface. Combined with cutting-edge off-grid technology, every detail has been designed for comfort, performance, and minimal environmental impact. You'll find a simple kitchenette stocked with essentials for preparing a light breakfast or a cozy evening meal, though we do encourage our guests to explore the vibrant dining scene of Jindabyne for an unforgettable experience at one of the many local venues. Guest access Accessed via the main driveway, a separate track leads to the cabin, located over 500 meters from the main residence for a secluded stay. Guests can park just meters from the cabin for convenience. We recommend following the directions on the Airbnb app and the signs on our property for easy access. Other things to note •We aim to make your stay as private and peaceful as possible. At times, you might see or hear us tending to the brumbies or doing property work, and neighbours may be doing the same on their land—but these will only be short disturbances, if at all. (Feel free to join us at the round yard if you see us there!). •The property is home to 8 rescued Brumbies, trained by Snowy Brumby Horsemanship. We encourage guests to go for a walk to find them, but please read our welcome book first — it has all the information you need to know. • Our brumbies roam freely on the property. After you park, just close the chain behind you to keep them away from your car. •We emphasise that the cabin uses a waterless composting toilet to avoid any surprises on arrival. It looks like a standard toilet, is eco-friendly, and actually emits less odour than a regular one. You can search "Clivus Multrum Toilet" for more info. •There’s no Wi-Fi to encourage you to switch off and unwind, but full 4G/5G mobile coverage is available. •We recommend using the fireplace in winter to reduce power use, especially during cloudy periods and during the night. •Firewood is provided during the colder months or if a cold front is expected, and can also be restocked on request at any stage. •Please respect our 2-person-per-booking policy, or reach out if you have any questions. •Our property is not suitable for children, though we’re happy to make exceptions for babies and toddlers who aren’t yet mobile. •Caravans are not permitted to house additional guests.
