Warm, cozy and stylish cottage. Formerly the Smithy for the farm horses, now a lovely cottage perfect for one or two people. Comfortable and well equipped with a small outdoor area in which to sit and enjoy a drink. Come and read your book, hike in the National Park nearby or stride out across the beaches of Northumberland's coastline. The Smithy is only 1/2 a mile from the small market town of Wooler. The historical towns of Berwick Upon Tweed and Alnwick are both 15 miles away. The space One Double bedroom. Separate bathroom with a shower over the bath. Open plan kitchen, dining, living room with wood burner. Separate utility with washing and drying facilities All mod cons ie toaster, kettle, microwave etc Cafetiere available. Welcome pack of milk, tea, coffee, biscuits provided. We supply guests with one basket of logs in the winter months. Additional logs can be bought from Mike Hope Garage 1/2 a mile away on the A697. Guest access Guests park outside the The Smithy. There is a path leading to the cottage. The Smithy has it's own private seating area outside the front door. Other things to note We accept one dog only at an additional cost of £40 per stay. No other pets are allowed. Dogs are not allowed on the furniture (not even on a blanket) or in the bedroom. Dogs must remain on the floor! Any excess hair should be removed before you leave the property. Thank you.
