Luxury barn in Wiltshire countryside

The Black Barn has been converted to offer a beautiful place to stay whilst retaining some of the attractive original features. The cabin offers a secluded rural retreat with cosy woodburning stove, king size beds with luxury sheets, smart TV and high quality furnishings throughout. Stay in spring to meet the current neighbours, baby lambs, and into summer for the chance to watch some village cricket. The space The cabin is a recently converted, secluded detached property situated on the edge of a small village within the Vale of Pewsey. The property is accessed via electric automated gates leading into a private driveway with parking for 3 cars. Outside there is a large patio with outdoor seating and pretty views across the cricket pitch towards the Kennett & Avon canal. The glazed front door leads to the entrance hall, with coat hooks and a bench perfect for putting on shoes ready to explore the many walks in the area and a utility cupboard with washing machine. The cabin is spaciously led out all on one level with the living accommodation at one end and two bedrooms the opposite way along the main entrance hall. You will find the kitchen to be well equipped with oven, induction hob, fridge, freezer and dishwasher as well as kettle, toaster and Nespresso coffee machine. There are pots, pans, cooking utensils, cutlery, crockery and glassware however if you are planning on dining out there are many good eateries locally. The round dining table comfortably seats four people adjacent to the living area with large sofa and two comfortable armchairs. The wood burner is ready to be used, although a few logs will be supplied any further wood would need to be purchased separately. Both bedrooms offer king size beds, clothes storage and a desk space with chair. The 'blue' room benefits from a en-suite bathroom with shower over the bath whilst the 'orange' room has access to the hallway bathroom with large walk-in shower. The bedrooms and living area benefit from vaulted ceilings exposing the original beams. Although we welcome children please be aware there are no amenities in the way of cot, highchair etc at the property. No pets and no smoking/vaping/e-cigarettes on the premises. The Area Located at the very heart of the North Wessex Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty the Vale of Pewsey is centrally located to access both Stonehenge and Avebury. The cabin itself is located just over an hour away from London Paddington via train and a short five minute drive from Pewsey train station. The area is well serviced via road - junctions 14 & 15 of the M4 are just over 30 minutes away to the north and the A303 to the south is a similar distance. Whilst the village has it’s own pub, The Golden Swan which is said to have the steepest thatch roof in Wiltshire, a five minute drive leads you to the larger village of Pewsey with more amenities. Pewsey has Coop supermarket, petrol station, boots with chemist, four pubs, three takeaway outlets, a bakery and café. The larger market towns of Marlborough and Devizes are a 10-15 minute driveway and the cities of Bath and Salisbury around 1 hour drive.
