River Home Retreat

Unwind in this modern riverfront retreat, conveniently located near the airport yet just 15 minutes to beautiful downtown GR. Your 1200 sqft river-level suite features secured access, 2 bedrooms, a big TV, laundry, & exercise room. Your hosts reside on the upper level with their friendly mini golden doodle, Izzy. Included is a kitchenette with Keurig, fridge, microwave, & toaster oven. Outside, enjoy our kayaks, paddleboard, firepit, hot tub, or simply relax by the river and soak it all in! The space Welcome to the River Home Retreat where you can sit and relax by the outdoor fire or hot tub or enjoy the water activities (fish, kayak/paddleboard) The home is only ten minutes from the GRR airport, two minutes from Thornapple Creek Golf Course, five minutes from Cascade Township Park (includes disc golf, tennis courts, pickleball courts, large, modern playground, walking trails, soccer fields, volleyball courts, etc.). Cascade and Ada are short drives with lots to do including shopping and restaurants. We truly built our forever home several years back and always planned to open the river level as an AirBnB for guests to share our little slice of paradise. Guest access The entire lower (walkout) level of our Arts and Crafts style home is private, with a keyed exterior lock and locked doors between the upper (owner's) level and the river level used by guests. Guests have two walk-out sliders for easy access to backyard activities. While the owners reserve the right to use the backyard, we generally try to give guests privacy. This backyard, is not fenced, and is occasionally visited by ducks, geese, cranes, turtles, rabbits, squirrels, birds, and other river-loving critters. Other things to note We have two comfortable queen size beds to accommodate 4 people. The owners will have a guest information book with local restaurants, things to do, amenities, and information about instructions for amenities within the rental space.
