Other things to note Our apartment is located on a street adjoining the historic city center of Joigny with all its shops and restaurants. Enjoy the market on Wednesdays and Saturdays. For 4 years, the "summer event" Rue des Artistes has been held every Saturday in July and August in this street and welcomes painters, visual artists, artisans, musicians, storytellers... The Joigny site benefits from a rocky spur of the Othe forest plateau overlooking the Yonne, a castle, a monastic complex to the east and a simple chapel surrounded by vineyards to the west. Joigny has preserved the network of small steep streets connected by narrow passages and stairs, and you can still see the many carved timber-framed houses dating from the 16th century.
