Our detached 2 bedroom holiday gite - Petite Maison Fougeres - is set in 7000 square metres of garden, with mainly mature fruit trees. With an 8M X 4M (24' X 12') above ground saltwater pool. Set in the beautiful charente countryside, overlooking green fields, yet just 50 mins from limoges airport, and a 5 minute drive to the local village which has a supermarket, a bar, a bakery, a butchers, an ATM and a post office. The space The house is newly refurbished (Feb 2024) All windows and doors double glazed. One double bedroom with a king size bed and air conditioning/heating, large wardrobe and chest of drawers, and bed side cabinets. Second bedroom with twin beds, air conditioning/heating, wardrobe and bedside cabinet. Kitchen with Bosch fridge freezer, electric cooker, microwave, Senseo and filter coffee machines, electric kettle, plenty of storage space. Lounge/diner with 2 double sofas, electric radiator, 32" TV with French and English channels, CD radio with Bluetooth connection, DVD player and selection of DVD's, free 4G wifi access A large round table seating 4 people. Shower room with 100 X 80 cm shower with rainfall attachment, sink, and washing machine. Separate toilet. Garden has a covered dining area to the front, with a table and 4 chairs, and an additional dining table and 4 chairs. Swimming pool and garden is for exclusive use of guests at the gite. Badminton,swingball,lawn petanque and lawn darts are available for you to enjoy. Unfortunately we have no facilities for electric vehicle charging, the nearest points are in montemboeuf. We are 20 mins from the lakes of the Haute Charente, with a man made beach, and 2 bars serving food. La Rochefoucauld is 20 mins away, and has an abundance of shops and restaurants, and a lovely chateau. The velo rail at Confolens is 40 mins away, and in July and August runs tourist trains using a vintage railcar, also there are canoes and paddle boards for hire on the river in the main season.
