Description

Here is the story, the history of this old apartment. This loft dates back to 1783. On that date, I was not born. But my ancestors passed on their legacy to me, and I thank them for it. Here's their story... A farmhouse attached to this apartment. Indeed, this place was a stable before, there were cows, pigs, straw on the floor. Left abandoned, this stable was converted into an apartment six years ago. Today, it welcomes you The space It became an old apartment with character. A stone wall, a skylight, exposed beams…and all over two floors. The old windows have remained intact. And that, since 1783! This barn will offer you everything you need to make yourself at home. You will find on site, an American kitchen equipped with all its amenities. A living room with a stone wall, an articulated TV, a sofa bed, a wood-burning stove, Netflix and Wi-Fi. Bed linen and bath towels are provided. The bedroom with its king-size bed and the bathroom with its rain shower head and jet is upstairs. You'll also find tea, coffee, and cappuccino free of charge. And to cook the essentials are also part of the price (spices and oils). As for your four-legged friend, they will be welcome for a small extra fee. As mentioned, the sofa turns into a click-clack. So we can add a third person. However, the kitchen only has two chairs, attached to the bar. Ready to recharge? In the depths of nature and not too far from the city? Have a good time as close to nature as possible? Take a walk? You're in the right place, at the 1783 stable! Guest access This is a very easy to access loft. There is a private car park in front of the house. And for bikes, we have a private and secure garage. It's locked. You like walking? fishing? Hunting? Swimming? Or cycling in summer or even in winter? Take a long walk in winter? Want to visit the different Alsatian or Lorraine Christmas markets? (Illuminations in Metz, parade in Sarrebourg, Saint Nicolas in Nancy, etc.). This is the place to go. In Mittersheim, its ponds are home to a huge forest where hunting is practiced. And we are also classified Natura 2000. From my apartment, you are a 5-minute walk from the marina, and in summer the Café du Port offers refreshments and snacks, in a bucolic setting. A 10-minute walk is the beach. Supervised swimming, water games for children or adults (Wibit), pedal boat, canoe, sailing, water skiing are practiced all summer. For fishing lovers, the pond is set up and accessible all year round. Perches, keep, pike populate our ponds. As for the beach, in summer you will find on site, two snack bars, an ice cream parlor, and several petanque courts as well as children's games. In winter, it's quieter, but you can walk along the water, it's very nice and when it snows it's even more beautiful. Regarding the village, and its shops, you will find a bakery/mini-market, in the center of the village. Be careful, it is only open in the morning. A post office and bar open year-round. Outside the village, Parc de Sainte Croix and Center Parc are close by (20 minutes drive). There are also the Troglodytes houses near the Petite Pierre, to visit. You are also 20 minutes from Sarrebourg train station, which opens up Paris, Nancy. Metz and Strasbourg. Of course you can also go by car, we are 1 hour from Metz, Nancy and Strasbourg. And as you approach Christmas you can visit several markets, including the Strasbourg Christmas market. Or Colmar's (also call Little Venice). Otherwise, we are also bordering Alsace and border with Germany. And finally, you can eat on site. And if you come with a baby, high chair and bed, can be made available for free. Here, you know everything. So?! Ready for a great stay? And to rest in this old barn? This is where it happens! Other things to note To eat in the surrounding area, you have several restaurants. Ecluse 16, a 10-minute drive from the property. Le Grognon a Berthelming. Snacks in Fénetrange and Dieuze. Or a very good pizzeria, in Altwiller, in the bay of cassis. It's best to book ahead of time. You can find the numbers on the internet. Otherwise I can also book for you! And if you just want to put your feet under the table, it's possible to eat on site. Morning, noon and evening at my home. To be booked in advance of course.
