Enjoy easy access to everything from this perfectly located home base. The space The Lindens is situated within the conservation area of the pretty rural village of Coldingham. Despite being built over 150 years ago, it has a modern recently renovated interior. On entering the property, most people comment on the striking tiled floor. There is a small reclaimed church pew and plenty of hooks to hang up coats and hats. The newly fitted kitchen is larger than average with up to date appliances, beautiful quartz worktops and a central island that can comfortably sit 5. The lounge also has a dining space plus an area to sit and relax with a wood burning stove. Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms: the master bedroom has a king size bed, the front bedroom a double and the small bedroom a three quarter size bed. The bathroom has a top of the range push button walk-in shower and once again is newly fitted and decorated. To the back of the property there is a secure well stocked private garden area with seating, tables and a chimnea. Those unfamiliar with the local area will be impressed with its stunning natural beauty. The award winning beach of Coldingham Bay popular with surfers and divers is a fifteen minute walk away and from there, it is possible to join the costal path to the picturesque village of St Abbs and in the opposite direction, the small fishing town of Eyemouth. Further afield there are many opportunities for days out, including Holy Island, Bambrough and of course Edinburgh itself. The village of Coldingham is well served with a well stocked local shop which sells most things including fresh fruit and veg., a highly recommended butchers, a post office, antique emporium and two pubs. One of the pubs offers hearty meals and Sands fish and chip shop provides tasty huge portions. All of these amenities are very close to the house. The nearest train station is just over 2 miles away, there is a regular bus service and for those arriving by car, free off road parking is available in the post office car park which is less than a minute from the front door. Guest access Guests have full access to the whole property. Well behaved dogs are very welcome. Other things to note There are three main house rules: Don’t put anything on the radiators. Use the airers provided to dry damp items. Remove outdoor footwear before going upstairs. Be respectful to our lovely neighbours.
